What You’ll Be Doing
- Take ownership of MEP project delivery — from reviewing drawings and specs to coordinating with consultants and main contractors on site.
- Lead electrical or mechanical system design reviews, submittals, and shop drawings, making sure everything lines up with UAE codes and project requirements.
- Work shoulder-to-shoulder with site teams to resolve clashes, snags, and the inevitable surprises that come with live construction.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers, keeping quality, timeline, and budget in check — no small task, we know.
- Attend progress meetings, prepare technical reports, and keep the project manager in the loop without being asked twice.
- Support testing, commissioning, and handover, making sure the systems you designed actually perform the way they should.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 7–12 years of relevant UAE experience — you know the local market, the authorities, and the pace.
- Solid, hands-on background in MEP projects, ideally across commercial, residential, or industrial builds.
- Confidence reading and interpreting MEP drawings, specs, and standards.
- Strong communication skills — you can hold your own in a consultant meeting and still explain a technical issue clearly to a site foreman.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with authority approvals (DEWA, ADDC, Civil Defence, etc.).
- Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, or BIM coordination workflows.
- A track record on large-scale or fast-track projects.
