About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what it’s like to see your designs power a whole city block — or an entire neighborhood? If you’re an experienced Electrical Engineer who thrives on turning concepts into real-life blueprints, this could be your next big move. We’re looking for someone who’s spent at least five years navigating the unique landscape of UAE engineering approvals, and who’s ready to take on the varied challenges of consulting life in Sharjah. If SEWA approvals and network coordination are second nature to you, your next project might be waiting right here.
About the Company
Picture an engineering consultancy where collaboration feels natural and technical excellence is more than just a buzzword — it’s a habit. Our team doesn’t just design infrastructure; we make a lasting impact in Sharjah’s ever-evolving urban landscape. Here, you’ll find a friendly, multinational crew who take their jobs seriously, but never take themselves too seriously. Whether it’s impromptu cake on a team member’s birthday or sharing insights over lunch, there’s a spirit of partnership that makes even the toughest projects something to look forward to.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and preparing detailed electrical drawings for a range of building projects — accuracy and creativity are your toolkit.
- Preparing technical documentation (yes, including those all-important SEWA service drawings) and shepherding them through to official approval.
- Laying out sewerage network designs and managing the process for their approvals, often coordinating with external authorities and internal colleagues.
- Collaborating with architects, mechanical engineers, and clients to ensure seamless integration across all disciplines.
- Keeping up with the latest codes, regulations, and industry best practices in the UAE — and bringing fresh ideas to the table when you spot a better way of doing things.
- Occasionally mentoring junior engineers or giving a friendly nudge to keep projects moving when deadlines approach.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- At least 5 years of hands-on electrical engineering experience, specifically within the UAE market.
- Solid familiarity with SEWA requirements, standards, and local procedures for obtaining drawing approvals.
- Strong skills in preparing both electrical layouts and sewerage network drawings.
- Practical knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Good communication skills in English — and you know how to make technical points clear to non-engineers.
- Detail-oriented mindset; you catch the small errors before they become big problems.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Arabic language skills — helpful, but not essential!
- Experience with other regional authorities (e.g., DEWA, ADDC).
- Previous consulting office experience in Sharjah or wider UAE.
- A knack for working calmly when several deadlines hit at once.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary that reflects your hard-won expertise.
- Support for professional growth — whether it’s training, certifications, or stretching into new responsibilities.
- Flexible approach: some remote work options by arrangement (because sometimes site visits and approvals are best handled in person, but we value balance).
- Friendly, approachable management who truly care about both your career and your well-being.
- An office culture that respects not just work deadlines, but life outside the office — family, health, and personal development matter here, too.
- Team lunches, regular technical workshops, and the occasional celebratory outing.
When you join our group, you’ll find the work to be challenging, but never isolating. Your ideas matter, your expertise is valued, and your career is about to move forward in ways that make a difference — for you and for Sharjah.
