What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing and reviewing tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other legal or financial documents
- Working closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to track costs and optimize value for money
- Conducting on-site measurements and valuations to ensure all work is accurately costed and reported
- Monitoring project progress and forecasting financial outcomes, flagging any risks or opportunities as they arise
- Negotiating contract terms and prices with suppliers and subcontractors, always aiming for the win-win
- Providing clear, concise reports for stakeholders, and recommending actionable ways to maintain profitability
- Supporting the team with any urgent quantity surveying queries—sometimes at a moment’s notice
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on quantity surveying experience in the UAE construction sector
- Strong knowledge of local construction markets, regulations, and contracts
- Attention to detail that borders on legendary—accuracy is your superpower
- Confidence in using relevant software (think: AutoCAD, MS Excel, QS tools)
- Ready to hit the ground running—immediate joiners are highly preferred
Nice-to-Haves:
