What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities — your spreadsheets will be the project’s financial compass.
- Working closely with project managers and site engineers to keep budgets on track and ensure clarity in every contract term.
- Leading contract administration: from drafting tender documents to reviewing variations and handling claims.
- Monitoring project expenditures, analyzing costs, and reporting on financial performance throughout each project phase.
- Conducting regular site visits to validate progress and check that what’s on paper matches what’s being built.
- Collaborating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure value for money, negotiating where necessary for the best outcomes.
- Proactively identifying cost-saving opportunities and flagging potential risks before they become issues.
- Ensuring all financial practices meet UAE regulations and internal compliance standards.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong command of Arabic (spoken and written) and good English communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with a love for detail — you spot discrepancies others might miss.
- Confidence working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Solid grasp of contract law, tendering processes, and cost management best practices.
- Proficiency with relevant software (like MS Excel, AutoCAD, or construction management platforms).

- Previous experience with projects in the UAE or GCC region.
- Membership in a professional body (such as RICS or similar).
