What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing all cost-management aspects of assigned construction projects, from initial estimates to final accounts
- Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and tenders (yes, your language skills will be prized here)
- Managing progress claims, interim valuations, and project cash flow forecasts, always with an eye for detail
- Reporting regularly on costs, risks, and value engineering opportunities to ensure projects remain on budget
- Liaising directly with clients, consultants, and site teams—often switching seamlessly between Arabic and English
- Advising on procurement strategies, supplier negotiations, and contract administration
- Keeping meticulous records so nothing ever gets lost in translation or paperwork
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves
- Fluency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken)—this is absolutely essential
- Previous proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction, fit-out, or infrastructure projects
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; you’re able to build rapport with people from many backgrounds
- Excellent attention to detail and an analytical mindset
- Comfortable working autonomously yet willing to jump in and collaborate when the situation calls
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience within the UAE market or similar environments
