About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Sales and Customer Service Executive — Where Play Meets Purpose

Ever watched a child light up over a puzzle or a building block set and thought, that’s the kind of moment worth selling? That’s exactly what this role is about. We’re looking for a Sales and Customer Service Executive to join our Sharjah showroom — someone who can turn a casual walk-in into a loyal customer and a quick WhatsApp question into a lasting relationship. If you believe great service is part sales pitch and part genuine conversation, keep reading.

About Us

We’re a company built around one simple idea: learning should feel like play. We specialize in educational aids and toys — the kind of products that help kids grow, discover, and yes, have a little fun along the way. Our Sharjah showroom is where parents, teachers, and gift-hunters come to explore, ask questions, and find that perfect something.

The team here is small enough that everyone knows your name, but busy enough that no two days look alike. We geek out over new product arrivals, swap stories about our favorite customer interactions, and genuinely believe that what we sell makes a difference. If that sounds like your kind of workplace, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Welcome and serve walk-in customers at our Sharjah showroom — helping them find the right educational aids or toys, answering questions, and completing sales transactions smoothly.
  • Handle customer inquiries via WhatsApp — responding promptly, following up on pending questions, and keeping the conversation warm and helpful, not robotic.
  • Follow up with customers after their visit — checking in on purchases, sharing relevant new arrivals, and building relationships that bring people back.
  • Keep the showroom looking its best — tidy shelves, well-organized displays, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes browsing a pleasure.
  • Stay curious about our products — knowing what each toy or aid does, who it’s for, and why it’s worth buying, so you can recommend with confidence.
  • Support the team with day-to-day tasks — from restocking to sharing customer feedback that helps us improve.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Experience in sales, retail, or customer service — even a few months counts if you’ve got the right attitude.
  • Comfortable communicating in Arabic and English (spoken and written) — our customers speak both, and so should you.
  • A friendly, patient demeanor — you genuinely enjoy helping people, even when they’re indecisive or in a hurry.
  • Basic comfort with WhatsApp and other messaging tools — it’s a big part of how we stay in touch.
  • Availability to work showroom hours, including weekends if needed.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Background in education, child development, or toy retail — you’ll understand our products faster.
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems or inventory tracking.
  • A knack for spotting what a customer actually needs, even when they’re not sure themselves.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you. Skills can be taught — genuine warmth and curiosity can’t.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary with room to grow as you grow with us.
  • A supportive, close-knit team — no corporate maze, just people who help each other out.
  • Employee discounts on our products — because you’ll want to share the joy with your own family and friends.
  • Ongoing product training — we’ll teach you everything about educational aids and toys, so you can speak about them with real confidence.
  • A role with purpose — every sale you make supports a child’s learning journey. That’s not just a job; it’s something you can feel good about at the end of the day.

If you’re ready to bring your energy, your people skills, and your love for great service to a place where play and purpose meet — we can’t wait to meet you.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Walk me through how you'd handle a busy Saturday in the showroom when three families walk in at once and you're the only one on the floor.
  • A customer messages you on WhatsApp asking about a product you don't currently stock. How do you respond, and what do you do next?
  • How would you explain the difference between two similar educational toys to a parent who isn't sure which one suits their five-year-old?
  • Tell me about a time you turned an unhappy or hesitant customer into a satisfied one. What did you actually say or do?
  • What's your approach to following up with a customer a week after they've bought something — without it feeling pushy or salesy?
  • Since you'll be communicating in both Arabic and English, can you describe a situation where you had to switch between languages to keep a conversation smooth?
  • Describe a moment when you spotted what a customer really needed before they could articulate it themselves.
  • How do you stay patient and warm when someone is indecisive, asking the same question for the third time, or clearly in a rush?
  • What draws you to working with educational toys and learning aids specifically, rather than selling, say, electronics or clothing?
  • Tell me about a time you had to learn a new product range quickly. How did you go about it, and how long did it take before you felt confident recommending it?
  • How would you handle a situation where a colleague gives you feedback on how you handled a sale — something you didn't necessarily agree with?
  • What does a genuinely welcoming showroom feel like to you, and what would you personally do to keep ours that way day to day?
  • If a parent told you our prices were higher than what they'd seen online, how would you respond in the moment?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

For a sales and customer service role like this in Sharjah's retail sector, you should expect a monthly salary of around 4,000 to 6,000 AED, with bilingual Arabic-English speakers often landing toward the higher end of that range since the language skill is a genuine asset here. Similar showroom and retail sales positions in the UAE typically offer 3,500 to 5,000 AED for candidates with some experience, so don't hesitate to aim a little higher if you bring toy, education, or child development knowledge to the table. Since the ad mentions room to grow, it's also worth asking about commission or performance bonuses during your conversation, as these can add meaningfully to your take-home pay.
