About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever found yourself walking into a cake shop, instantly greeted by the delicious aroma of fresh pastries and the warm smiles of a dedicated team? As our new Shop Supervisor in Dubai, you’ll get to create that magic every single day. This is your chance to lead a vibrant store where every occasion gets a little bit sweeter — and where your retail experience translates into genuine moments of delight for our customers.
About the Company
We’re a locally loved cake shop with a knack for turning everyday moments into celebrations. From handcrafted birthday cakes to that special treat on a Friday afternoon, our team is passionate, a little quirky, and always up for a challenge (or a frosting showdown when new flavors are on the line!). Growth is part of our recipe — both in terms of expanding our menu and nurturing our people. Friday taste tests aren’t just encouraged; they’re practically a requirement.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the sales team by example with positivity, clarity, and a dash of fun — your energy sets the tone for the day.
- Opening and closing the shop, making sure everything runs like clockwork (or maybe a well-set oven timer).
- Ensuring every guest receives genuine, helpful service — from assisting with cake selections to handling special requests.
- Keeping the displays and store environment inviting, spotless, and always Instagram-ready.
- Managing inventory, placing orders with suppliers, and keeping an eagle eye on stock levels so we never run out of favorites.
- Tracking sales performance, analyzing daily reports, and brainstorming creative ways to achieve (and exceed) targets.
- Training new team members and fostering an environment where everyone feels appreciated and empowered.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves
- Previous experience in a retail supervisory or team lead role (food industry is a plus, but not required).
- Confident leadership skills — you enjoy motivating, mentoring, and building strong team rapport.
- Natural communicator, able to handle customer queries or complaints with tact and warmth.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high store standards.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays — after all, cakes don’t take days off!
Nice-to-Haves
- Background in a bakery or cake shop setting.
- Some basic familiarity with POS systems and inventory software.
- Creativity when it comes to in-store displays or marketing ideas.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary: AED 3000–3500 per month, paid promptly.
- Opportunity to lead a friendly, close-knit team where your ideas are welcome and your contributions recognized.
- Discounted (sometimes free!) cakes and pastries — yes, taste testing is part of the job.
- Central Dubai location, easily accessible for your daily commute.
- Real career growth potential — we notice hard work and promote from within.
- Supportive management that genuinely cares about your development and work-life balance.
You’ll be part of a passionate team where every day feels just a little bit special — and where it’s perfectly acceptable to sneak a slice of cake after a successful day. If you’re ready to take the next step in your retail career, we can’t wait to meet you.
