About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wonder what keeps a construction project running smoothly behind the scenes? As a Technical Office Engineer based in Abu Dhabi’s vibrant Al Danah district, you’ll be right at the heart of those crucial details — turning blueprints and numbers into real-life progress. If you’re passionate about both the technical and organizational sides of engineering, this could be the ideal next step for you. With a special focus on tenders, documentation, and coordination, this is your chance to be part of something bigger than the drawings on your screen.

About the Company

Here, every plan matters. We’re a tight-knit team of engineers, planners, and project managers committed to delivering high-quality works across Abu Dhabi. Our office is lively and collaborative, where questions are encouraged, Friday lunches are a staple, and milestones are celebrated — big and small. Whether you’re brainstorming a technical solution or double-checking a BOQ, you’ll find people ready to support (and occasionally challenge) your ideas. We value clear communication, accountability, and a spirit of continuous improvement — all sprinkled with a dose of good humor when the pressure’s on.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Reviewing and preparing technical drawings and documentation to ensure accuracy before submission or execution
  • Collaborating with the cost and tender teams to prepare, process, and price construction tenders
  • Calculating and verifying quantity take-offs and preparing detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for ongoing projects
  • Using AutoCAD, Excel, and other engineering tools to draft, revise, and annotate plans as needed
  • Preparing clear, concise engineering reports and technical correspondence for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinating with site teams, consultants, and suppliers to ensure technical requirements are properly implemented
  • Double-checking details — from drawing annotations to spreadsheet formulas — to catch issues before they become problems
  • Keeping project files, logs, and documentation organized and accessible for project audits and reviews

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ direct experience working in a technical office environment (engineering or construction)
  • Hands-on experience with tender preparation, pricing, and documentation workflows
  • Proven background in creating and reviewing engineering drawings and technical documents
  • Skilled in quantity surveying, take-offs, and BOQ development
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and standard engineering software — you know how to troubleshoot when things go sideways
  • Strong report writing and documentation skills, in both technical language and everyday terms
  • A family residence visa (sponsored by a relative) — this is essential for the role
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and clear communication abilities

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with Abu Dhabi regulatory requirements or previous local project experience
  • Demonstrated success juggling competing deadlines while maintaining high quality
  • A knack for guiding or mentoring junior engineers when the opportunity arises

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary package plus performance incentives
  • Supportive, close-knit team culture — we celebrate wins, learn from setbacks, and value teamwork
  • Centrally located office in Al Danah, with easy access to city amenities
  • Ongoing training opportunities and professional development support
  • Exposure to a diverse range of large and mid-scale projects in Abu Dhabi
  • Respect for work-life balance, with flexibility where possible
  • A genuine chance to make your mark on high-profile projects while growing your expertise

Here, you’re not just another cog in the machine. You’re part of the blueprint for something bigger, surrounded by people who want to see you succeed.
