About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered how some of the city’s most striking facades come to life, panel by panel? As a Technical Office Engineer (Aluminum Specialist), you’ll play a key role in translating ambitious designs into flawless reality. Our team is looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values accuracy, and takes real pride in their craftsmanship. If you’re ready to deep-dive into complex projects and leave your mark on iconic builds, this could be your next step.
About the Company
We’re not your average contracting company. For over a decade, we’ve been at the forefront of the facades industry, shaping skylines with creativity and integrity. Our team is tight-knit but diverse, united by a genuine passion for innovative construction (plus a slight obsession with technical excellence — if you enjoy lively debate about the merits of different aluminum systems, you’ll fit right in). Transparency, collaboration, and high standards drive everything we do — Friday demo days and impromptu project celebrations included.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Producing clear, precise, and fully detailed shop drawings for aluminum and glass façades.
- Reviewing architectural and structural drawings to ensure perfect alignment with project specs.
- Coordinating directly with site engineers and project managers to clarify technical requirements and solve real-world challenges.
- Preparing accurate take-offs for aluminum systems and all related façade components.
- Developing material submittals, method statements, and as-built documentation with an eagle eye for detail.
- Adapting quickly to design changes and fast-track schedules, always delivering information on time and to spec.
- Acting as a technical reference for suppliers and subcontractors, helping turn design intent into build reality.
- Collaborating in refining internal workflows — we expect ideas, not just drawings.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Architectural, or Mechanical Engineering (with a passion for facades and aluminum systems).
- 3+ years in a technical office or design role focused on aluminum and glass facades.
- Advanced skills in AutoCAD (2D and 3D), and comfort with relevant design software (Revit, Rhino, etc.).
- Exceptional attention to detail balanced by the ability to deliver quickly and manage priorities.
- Clear communication in English (written and spoken), with a knack for translating tech-speak for any audience.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with international facade systems or major local landmarks.
- Familiarity with BIM, structural glazing, and custom fabrication methods.
- A collaborative spirit with the curiosity to learn and improve processes.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still like to get to know you — expertise comes in many forms.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary with performance-based growth — we value skill and reward initiative.
- Dynamic project portfolio: see your work up close and make an impact on the urban landscape.
- Modern office with flexible onsite/work-from-home balance (we know inspiration can strike anywhere).
- Supportive leadership and a culture that celebrates knowledge-sharing and team wins.
- Regular training sessions, access to industry events, and chances to expand your skillset.
Here, you’ll sharpen your technical skills and see tangible results from your work — all while collaborating with a team that genuinely enjoys building (and laughing) together. We can’t wait to meet our next engineering partner.
