What You’ll Be Doing
- Supervising and coordinating daily routes and schedules for a fleet of truck drivers – expect no two days to be exactly the same
- Planning efficient trips, taking into account delivery priorities, road conditions, and driver strengths
- Keeping a close eye on truck maintenance needs, scheduling checks, and ensuring all vehicles are in top shape
- Monitoring fuel consumption and quickly spotting patterns or areas for savings
- Communicating clearly with drivers – from troubleshooting issues on the road to coaching on best practices
- Receiving and acting on transport updates, traffic reports, or urgent changes in delivery schedules
- Maintaining logs and records: accurate, up-to-date documentation is part of the smooth workflow
- Collaborating with the operations and customer support teams to ensure commitments are met and clients are happy
