Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation & Budgeting
  Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for various project stages, including feasibility studies, tendering, and execution phases. Develop comprehensive budgets, monitoring all costs to ensure adherence to financial targets.

• Contract Administration
  Draft, review, and administer contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure all parties comply with contractual obligations and resolve any disputes or claims efficiently.

• Financial Management
  Track project expenditures and resource utilization. Analyze variances between budgeted and actual costs, providing recommendations for cost optimization and value engineering.

• Progress Evaluation
  Measure and value work done on-site, preparing interim and final payment applications. Certify subcontractor and supplier invoices in line with work completed and contract terms.

• Risk Assessment
  Identify and assess potential risks affecting project costs or timelines. Propose mitigation strategies and support the project team in proactive decision-making.

• Reporting & Documentation
  Maintain thorough records of all contractual and financial documentation. Prepare regular reports for project stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, budget status, and any anticipated issues.

• Stakeholder Coordination
  Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, project managers, and clients to ensure alignment on financial and contractual matters throughout the lifecycle of each project.

Requirements

• Educational Background
  Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.

• Professional Experience
  Proven track record (minimum 3 years) as a Quantity Surveyor or Civil Engineer in the construction industry, ideally within the UAE or GCC region.

• Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Strong command of contract law and administration
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel, and quantity surveying tools)

• Language Proficiency
  Fluency in Arabic is essential; proficiency in English is highly advantageous.
