About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered how the magic behind a stunning hotel lobby comes together? We’re on the hunt for two creative experts to bring architectural vision and engineering precision to top-tier hotel interiors. Whether you’re a seasoned hotel architect or a civil engineer who loves transforming spaces, this opportunity puts you right at the heart of hospitality’s most inspiring projects — all in the vibrant city of Abu Dhabi.

About the Company

At our growing engineering contracting firm, every project feels a bit like unveiling a masterpiece — and the team is as passionate about the “big reveal” as you are. Headquartered in Al Ain Industrial City, we’ve earned our reputation by championing innovative ideas and treating each hotel as a unique canvas. Fridays? You’ll probably find us swapping site stories and design tales, celebrating another week of nailing the details that matter. It’s a place where technical minds and creative spirits genuinely collaborate (and yes, the coffee chats are real).

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Architects:

    • Lead the creative design process for interior spaces across hotel projects — from grand entrances to cozy suites
    • Translate concepts, brand visions, and client feedback into detailed drawings and 3D mock-ups
    • Oversee on-site progress to ensure every emotion you mapped out on paper comes alive in reality
    • Work closely with project engineers and decorators to maintain both style and safety
    • Directly engage with clients, suppliers, and contractors to resolve challenges as they arise
  • Civil Engineers:

    • Supervise all aspects of interior finishing, from floors and ceilings to the last expertly-placed light fixture
    • Coordinate with architects and contractors to ensure seamless execution of design plans
    • Tackle engineering hurdles with boots-on-the-ground problem-solving
    • Monitor the quality of work at every stage, guaranteeing safety and style live side-by-side
    • Document progress, anticipate issues, and keep everyone informed — from site crew to project leads

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves

  • Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience with interior decoration/finishing for hotels in the UAE
  • A degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering (depending on your specialty)
  • A sharp eye for both aesthetics and detail; you know when a look “works,” and when a surface just isn’t up to standard
  • Solid portfolio or project list — we want to see what you’ve helped build
  • Proficiency in relevant design or engineering software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)
  • Confidence communicating in English on-site and in meetings

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with renowned hotel brands or luxury developments
  • Comfortable navigating both design brainstorms and site inspections
  • Knowledge of UAE building codes and standards

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive compensation tailored to your expertise and impact
  • Stable, long-term opportunity working on the region’s most admired hotel interiors
  • A collaborative setting where architects and engineers genuinely share ideas
  • Based in Abu Dhabi projects with a supportive Al Ain headquarters
  • Tools, resources, and administrative support to help you focus on what you do best
  • Multicultural team that values new perspectives (no nationality preference here!)
  • Regular recognition for your wins — big and small

If you’re looking for a workplace where your designs and technical guidance become someone’s next “wow” moment, you’ll feel right at home with us.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through a hotel interior project you’ve led or contributed to in the UAE, highlighting both your design/engineering approach and how you navigated project challenges?
  • How do you ensure your design or engineering solutions balance client brand vision with practicality and safety requirements during the hotel fitting-out process?
  • Which software do you rely on most when developing drawings, 3D mock-ups, or technical plans for hotel interiors? How do you leverage those tools for collaboration across disciplines?
  • Describe a situation where you needed to resolve a conflict between an aesthetic vision and an on-site technical limitation. What steps did you take, and how did the final outcome meet project goals?
  • When supervising interior finishing, what strategies do you use for monitoring craftsmanship and ensuring every detail meets high standards — from the biggest architectural elements to the smallest fixtures?
  • Have you worked directly with international hotel brands or luxury developments before? If so, what did you learn about maintaining luxury standards and client expectations?
  • Imagine you’re mid-project and a key supplier causes a delay. How would you communicate this to stakeholders, and what solutions might you propose to keep the project on track?
  • Tell us about a time when you collaborated closely with a different discipline — perhaps architects with engineers or vice versa — to bring a shared vision to life. What made the teamwork especially successful (or challenging)?
  • How familiar are you with UAE building codes and standards for hotel interiors? Can you share how you ensure compliance throughout a project’s lifecycle?
  • Site progress can reveal surprises. Describe a time you encountered an unexpected technical hurdle during implementation, and how you adapted your plans to overcome it.
  • What motivates you to work specifically on hotel interiors versus other types of construction or design projects?
  • How do you encourage idea-sharing and open dialogue when working with multicultural or multidisciplinary teams?
  • This team is known for celebrating both the big wins and the small victories. How do you share successes with your colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

Given your experience in hotel interior projects and the high standards required in Abu Dhabi’s hospitality sector, you should expect a salary of at least 9,000–14,000 AED per month for a mid-level architect or civil engineer. Similar roles in the UAE focused on hotel fit-outs or luxury developments often fall within this range, with higher offers possible for candidates with strong portfolios or experience with renowned brands.
