About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what it takes to keep a café humming along smoothly — not just the coffee-making, but the numbers, supplies, and a bit of behind-the-scenes magic? As our next Café Manager in Sharjah, you’ll be right at the heart of it all. If you thrive on juggling both the operational and financial sides of the business (with a side of people skills and plenty of good coffee), you might just find your fit here. Plus, with a competitive salary and a genuine chance to shape how we do things, this is an opportunity to make your mark in Sharjah’s buzzing café scene.
About the Company
We’re not your average café — and that’s something we’re proud of! Our team has a passion for great food, honest service, and the kind of warm, unhurried hospitality that keeps regulars coming back (and newcomers wanting more). Our café isn’t just a place to grab a quick bite; it’s a little community hub where every detail behind the scenes matters as much as the smiles up front. We keep things lively with fresh menu ideas and a hands-on approach — and there’s always time for a team lunch or an impromptu cake tasting.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing the daily operations of the café — from opening to closing, with an eye for what needs attention
- Managing the cash register: reviewing transactions, closing the till, and ensuring everything balances at day’s end
- Calculating and reporting daily profit and loss, catching discrepancies before they become headaches
- Keeping an eagle eye on inventory: monitoring stock levels, flagging shortages, and ensuring the café never runs low on essentials
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, including negotiating prices and terms when needed
- Conducting periodic (and sometimes surprise) stock counts to minimize shrinkage and keep things honest
- Securing advance orders for popular items before they run out — thinking ahead is second nature here!
- Coordinating delivery schedules and troubleshooting supply issues on the fly
- Pitching in wherever needed, whether it’s supporting the team during a rush or rolling up your sleeves for a quick stockroom tidy
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- At least 2 years in a similar role within the café, restaurant, or hospitality sector (Sharjah/UAE experience is a plus)
- A solid grasp of basic accounting principles — balancing tills and reporting doesn’t faze you
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills (and the calm to handle busy days gracefully)
- Confidence in supplier negotiation, inventory management, or procurement
- Reliability, honesty, and a hands-on attitude — you lead by example
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with POS systems and related accounting or inventory software
- Basic Arabic language skills
- A genuine passion for food, coffee, or the hospitality industry
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary (AED 3000–4000/month depending on your experience)
- Supportive, close-knit team — no corporate stuffiness, just real people working together
- Opportunities for growth: we love seeing our team members learn, train, and take on new challenges
- Enjoy regular breaks, authentic camaraderie, and staff meals (the food is genuinely good!)
- Convenient central Sharjah location with easy access
- Flexibility with scheduling when you need it, and respect for your work-life boundaries
We know it takes more than great coffee to make a great café — it’s all about the people. If you love putting your stamp on things, managing the moving parts, and being part of a team that genuinely cares, you’ll feel right at home here.
