What You’ll Be Doing
- Process customer purchases quickly and accurately using the cash register and card terminals
- Issue receipts, handle returns or exchanges, and answer typical billing-related questions
- Keep your checkout area neat, tidy, and ready for action (think of it as your personal customer service stage)
- Provide friendly, helpful responses to customer inquiries, going the extra mile to solve minor snags
- Double-check daily cash and transaction records to ensure totals match up at closing
- Restock bags, receipt paper, and occasionally jump in to assist the floor team with light organizing tasks
- Flag any discrepancies or concerns to the supervisor before they become bigger issues
- Help foster a positive and efficient store atmosphere
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Previous cashier or point-of-sale experience (even just a few months makes a difference!)
- Basic math skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills — fluent English is essential
- A friendly, patient manner with a genuine desire to help customers
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends or shifts
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience using electronic payment terminals in the UAE
