About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what it’s like to join a bustling retail environment that truly values the people behind the counter as much as the customers in front of it? At Sharaf DG Dubai, we’re looking for energetic team players ready to take the next step in their careers — whether that means greeting visitors with a warm smile, keeping our finances on track, or making sure every sale is a smooth one. If you’re currently in the UAE and excited for a hands-on role in a dynamic location, read on to see if we’re the right fit for each other.
About the Company
Sharaf DG isn’t just a retail giant — it’s a collaborative hub where people from all walks of life come together, working toward excellence (and sometimes sharing a laugh in the break room between shifts). With a team that values honesty, helpfulness, and a good sense of humor, we thrive on hustle, trust, and making sure every single customer feels looked after. You’ll notice pretty quickly: mutual support and a bit of friendly competition make our busy days brighter. For us, every detail matters — and every person on the team does too.
What You’ll Be Doing
Whether you’re a Cashier, Receptionist, or Accountant Assistant, your day-to-day will make a real difference:
Cashier
- Greet shoppers with a smile and process sales quickly and accurately
- Handle cash, card, and digital payments with attention to detail
- Ensure the checkout area stays clean, tidy, and ready for the next customer
- Help customers with questions or returns, keeping service friendly and fast
- Support stock-taking and inventory when things are quiet up front
Receptionist
- Welcome visitors, guests, and candidates to our offices — you’re often the first person they meet!
- Manage calls, emails, and messages with professionalism (and a touch of warmth)
- Schedule appointments, assist with documentation, and keep our front desk running smoothly
- Coordinate with internal teams to make sure everyone is in the right place at the right time
- Handle occasional admin projects — variety is part of the job
Accountant Assistant
- Update records, assist with invoice processing, and help keep our accounts organized
- Support the finance team with reconciliations and data entry
- Double-check numbers to help ensure everything adds up at the end of the day
- Learn and use our internal accounting systems (don’t worry — training always provided)
- Pitch in wherever needed; finance is a “team sport” here
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves
- You must currently be inside the UAE (that’s a deal-breaker for us)
- Basic English communication skills (Arabic or other languages a plus, but not required)
- Friendly, approachable attitude and willingness to help others
- Attention to detail, especially with cash handling or data entry
- Able to adapt – things move fast, and every day can look a little different
- For Accountant Assistant roles: comfort with numbers and spreadsheets
Nice-to-Haves
- Previous experience in retail, reception, or administrative roles
- Familiarity with POS systems (for Cashiers) or accounting software (for Accountant Assistants)
- Positive references from previous teammates or managers
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
