About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what keeps Sharjah’s urban landscape running smoothly? The answer often comes down to the tenacity and savvy of civil engineers who know their way around both blueprints and bureaucracy. If you’re someone who thrives on seeing tangible progress — and can wrangle documentation as well as construction plans — our consulting office in Sharjah would love to meet you. This is a unique opportunity for a civil engineer who’s keen to make a real local impact, especially if you already know the ropes with Sharjah Municipality procedures.

About the Company

We’re a tight-knit consulting team based in the heart of Sharjah, passionate about transforming city spaces and guiding clients through every detail of municipal compliance. Here, it’s not just about paperwork — it’s about building relationships, solving problems on the fly, and having each other’s backs. Our weekly team check-ins are lively, collaborative, and there’s usually coffee (and plenty of laughter). We believe that the processes behind great engineering are just as vital as the outcomes themselves.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinating and preparing documentation for submission to Sharjah City Municipality
  • Following up diligently on application status, approvals, and compliance with municipal requirements
  • Acting as a liaison between our office, clients, and municipal officials to ensure clarity and efficiency
  • Keeping close track of project files and required updates, so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Occasionally heading out (with your UAE driving license, of course) to client sites or municipality offices to expedite urgent matters
  • Staying up-to-date with any changes in municipal regulations and communicating these to the rest of the team
  • Working alongside senior engineers to streamline administrative processes and report on milestones

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Minimum one year’s experience handling Sharjah municipal procedures and document submissions
  • Valid UAE driving license
  • Current, valid Sharjah Municipality card
  • Strong attention to detail — you notice even the small stuff
  • Good interpersonal skills — you’re comfortable in conversation, whether chatting with clients or municipal officials
  • The ability to organize, prioritize, and keep cool when surprises crop up

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Previous experience in a consulting environment or similar fast-paced office
  • Working knowledge of other UAE municipal procedures
  • Proficiency in Arabic and/or English

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here (Benefits & Perks)

  • Supportive office culture where questions are welcomed and teamwork is second nature
  • Flexible approach to work schedules and field visits — life can be unpredictable, and we get that
  • Opportunities to boost your skills and take on more responsibility as you grow
  • Competitive, experience-based salary structure
  • The satisfaction of directly shaping how projects progress in Sharjah — and seeing your impact
  • Regular team gatherings, with good coffee and even better company

We pride ourselves on being a place where your work truly matters — and where every day brings a fresh problem to solve. Here, your know-how and drive aren’t just valued; they’re what keep us pushing the city forward.

  • How do you stay updated with ongoing changes in Sharjah’s municipal procedures or regulations, and how do you communicate these updates to your team?
  • Describe a time when a municipal approval was delayed or rejected. How did you handle the situation, and what actions did you take to move the process forward?
  • Have you used your UAE driving license and Sharjah Municipality card for urgent site or office visits? Tell us about a situation where quick fieldwork made a difference for your team or client.
  • How do you keep sensitive project files and updates organized so that information is always accurate and accessible?

  • Our work can be fast-paced and sometimes unpredictable. How do you prioritize competing tasks, especially when you’re juggling multiple project deadlines?
  • Have you worked in a consulting or client-facing role before? How did you handle scenarios where clients had conflicting priorities or unrealistic expectations?
  • How would you contribute to our collaborative and supportive office culture, especially during hectic periods or when a teammate needs help?
  • Can you give an example of when your keen attention to detail prevented a costly mistake or ensured a smoother process?
