What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the preparation, review, and delivery of detailed structural design drawings and calculations for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments in Sharjah.
- Liaise directly with Sharjah Municipality to ensure all designs satisfy the latest local codes, guidelines, and approval frameworks.
- Conduct site visits to coordinate with contractors, address technical queries, and resolve on-the-ground issues in real time.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with architects, MEP engineers, and clients to integrate structural solutions harmoniously into broader project visions.
- Take ownership of all relevant documentation—including structural analysis reports and design justifications—right through to municipality submission and approval.
- Mentor junior designers and share best practices for efficient and compliant design workflows.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- At least 4 years of hands-on, post-grad experience in structural design, exclusively within the UAE.
- Proven track record as a Sharjah Municipality G 7 Approved Engineer (this is non-negotiable—it’s the backbone of this role).
- Strong working knowledge of all applicable Sharjah Municipality requirements and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to produce and finalize structural designs for mid- to large-scale projects.
- Confident communicator, able to explain technical matters clearly to both municipal authorities and fellow team members.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous mentoring or team leadership experience.
- Proficiency in BIM software or advanced structural analysis tools.
- Familiarity with sustainable building practices in Sharjah context.
