Salary: Negotiable

About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever pictured yourself at the center of a project that keeps entire oilfields running smoothly? As a Civil Foreman/Job Performer (JP) working on our oilfield sites across the UAE, you’ll turn complex blueprints into real infrastructure — all while keeping your crew motivated and safe. If you want a role where your experience genuinely matters and no two days look the same, you’ll feel right at home here.

About the Company

We’re a fast-growing team specializing in oil & gas construction projects across the Emirates. Our crew is an easygoing (but highly skilled) mix — expect foremen swapping stories over strong coffee and engineers who always make time to lend a hand in the field. There’s a real sense of pride in keeping critical infrastructure up and running, and we take both craftsmanship and safety seriously. Our project managers value initiative, and yes, the legend of our impromptu site barbecues is 100% true.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead a team of skilled workers in the construction and ongoing maintenance of oilfield civil works — from foundations to fencing, and everything in between.
  • Interpret approved drawings, technical manuals, and work instructions to ensure jobs are performed efficiently and safely.
  • Plan daily work schedules, allocate tasks, and make sure your crew has what it needs — tools, materials, and clear direction.
  • Supervise on-site activities to ensure compliance with project standards and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) requirements.
  • Troubleshoot unexpected issues with a calm head and coordinate with engineers or project managers for quick, practical solutions.
  • Keep diligent records of work completed, materials used, and crew timesheets; update project progress reports as needed.
  • Ensure quality control at every step — nobody signs off the job until it's truly done right.

What You’ll Bring

  • Must-Haves:

    • At least 5 years’ frontline experience in civil construction (foreman capacity) — oilfield or heavy industrial sites preferred.
    • Hands-on knowledge of construction site safety, work permits, and industry regulations in the UAE.
    • Strong communication — you’re comfortable leading a diverse crew and relaying updates to engineers or supervisors.
    • Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings, sketches, and scopes of work.
    • Proven record in handling tight timelines without cutting corners.
    • Basic English proficiency (written and spoken); Hindi/Urdu an advantage.
  • Nice-to-Haves:

    • Past experience on oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi or wider UAE.
    • HSE certifications, or a knack for championing site safety.
    • Comfortable using tablets or digital reporting tools.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive, timely pay — plus overtime where it counts.
  • Free, comfortable accommodation with all essentials covered when based on-site.
  • Transport provided between site and accommodations.
  • A strong safety culture: your wellbeing is genuinely our first priority.
  • Frequent training opportunities (from HSE to technical upskilling) if you’re keen to grow.
  • Join a supportive, multilingual team — and never eat lunch alone unless you want to!

Our crew is big on respect and reliability, but there’s always time for a good laugh at the end of a tough shift. If you want work that keeps you challenged and colleagues who’ve got your back, you’ll fit right in.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through how you would interpret a set of civil engineering drawings for a foundation project on an oilfield site?
  • Describe your usual process for planning a crew’s daily work schedule and ensuring everyone has the necessary tools and materials.
  • What key HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) requirements do you prioritize when supervising construction on oilfield sites in the UAE?
  • Have you ever faced a situation where unexpected technical complications required you to adjust your original work plan? How did you manage the issue?

  • How do you ensure quality control throughout the different phases of a civil construction job, and what’s your approach if the delivered work doesn’t meet standards?
  • Share an example of a time when you had to motivate your team during a challenging or stressful phase of a project.
  • In situations where tight deadlines threaten site safety or work quality, how do you strike the right balance?
  • Can you provide an example of how you’ve effectively communicated project progress or critical updates to engineers or project managers?
  • Our team is made up of people from different backgrounds. How do you make sure instructions are clearly understood and everyone feels included?
  • What strategies do you use to handle conflict or disagreement among crew members on-site?
  • How do you stay up-to-date with the latest industry regulations or safety best practices for construction in the UAE?
  • This role sometimes involves using tablets or new digital tools for reporting. How comfortable are you adapting to new technology at work?
  • What does a respectful and supportive team culture look like to you, and how do you contribute to that on job sites?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

For a Civil Foreman/Job Performer with solid oilfield or industrial experience in the UAE, you should expect a salary in the range of 4,500–7,000 AED per month, depending on your background and the specific site location. Similar roles in the oil and gas sector may also offer additional benefits like site accommodation, meals, and transport, so be sure to factor those into your negotiations. With at least 5 years’ experience and strong HSE knowledge, aiming for the higher end of this range is reasonable, especially if you have prior oilfield project experience or relevant certifications.
