About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever found yourself the go-to person when things just need to get done — and get done right? As a Civil Maintenance Foreman/Supervisor at UMAR Abdullah TECHNICAL SERVICES, that’s exactly the role you’ll play. If you’ve got a sharp eye for detail and a knack for leadership, you’ll be at the heart of keeping our client facilities running smoothly, ensuring every repair, upgrade, and inspection meets our high standards. With projects that challenge and reward in equal measure, this is the perfect spot for someone who takes genuine pride in their work.

About UMAR Abdullah TECHNICAL SERVICES

We’re not your average maintenance company — and we don’t want average people. Our team is a blend of seasoned professionals and up-and-comers, united by a passion for delivering outstanding technical solutions. Whether it’s a planned upgrade or an unexpected issue, our reputation is built on reliability, teamwork, and hustle. Around here, coffee-fueled brainstorming sessions go hand-in-hand with hands-on problem solving, and we celebrate a job well done just as much as the next big client win. If fast-paced days and a close-knit crew sound like your cup of tea, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Overseeing day-to-day civil maintenance work across multiple sites and facilities — no two days the same.
  • Supervising a team of technicians and tradespeople, offering on-the-spot guidance and support as needed.
  • Inspecting completed work for safety compliance and quality, making sure company and client standards are always met.
  • Coordinating with subcontractors, keeping communication clear and scheduling on track.
  • Troubleshooting issues and proactively identifying areas needing attention (your keen sixth sense is an asset here).
  • Documenting work progress, site reports, and materials used to keep things smooth and transparent.
  • Ensuring that all work is carried out following strict health and safety protocols.
  • Pitching in when the moment calls — sometimes leadership means rolling up your own sleeves.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Previous experience in a civil or facilities maintenance supervisory role.
  • Solid understanding of civil maintenance techniques, materials, and standards.
  • Strong leadership skills — folks listen when you talk (and you know when to listen, too).
  • Hands-on attitude with a knack for solving problems on the fly.
  • Comfortable working across several sites — adaptability is key.
  • Clear, professional communication in spoken and written English.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Technical certifications in civil maintenance or construction.
  • Familiarity with digital reporting tools or maintenance management software.
  • Experience managing external vendors/subcontractors.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary, reviewed regularly as your skills and impact grow.
  • Overtime opportunities — because we know sometimes the work goes beyond 9 to 5.
  • Uniform provided, plus all the gear you need to do your best work.
  • Supportive, tight-knit team where your input won’t just be heard; it’ll be valued.
  • Real room to develop your leadership skills — and your career path.
  • Regular team lunches and a “wins get celebrated” culture.
  • Open door policy: management is hands-on and approachable.
  • Commitment to safety: your wellbeing comes first, always.

We know people do their best work when they feel supported — join us, and let’s build something reliable, together.
