What You’ll Be Doing
Depending on your expertise, here’s what your day could look like:
- Overseeing site activities and ensuring work is carried out in compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety protocols.
- Coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and other engineers to keep projects on time and within budget.
- Conducting regular site inspections, identifying issues early, and proposing practical solutions.
- Preparing and maintaining detailed site reports, daily logs, and progress records.
- Collaborating closely with architects and project managers to optimize project outcomes.
- (Electrical/MEP) Supervising the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
- (Fire & Safety) Implementing industry-standard fire safety measures and running regular emergency drills.
- Staying on top of regulatory requirements and best construction practices — your expertise helps the whole team avoid surprises.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical/MEP, Fire & Safety, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on UAE experience in a similar engineering role.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet — fast decision-making is part of the job.
- Excellent communication in English (Arabic is a plus!).
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with Abu Dhabi private sector permitting and local authority procedures.
- Advanced knowledge of project management tools or construction software.
- Certifications relevant to your engineering field (e.g., CEng, PMP, NEBOSH).
