About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what it’s like to cook surrounded by the quiet hum of nature, instead of the clamor of a city kitchen? As our new Farm and Ranch Cook, you’ll experience just that — blending the art of traditional Gulf cuisine with the relaxed pace of country life. We’re on the lookout for someone who knows their way around Arabic breads and breakfasts, but who also takes pride in feeding a small, hardworking team. If the idea of bringing both skill and heart to your cooking sounds appealing, you might find this role to be a welcome change of pace.
About the Company
Our farm isn’t just a spot on the map — it’s a place where tradition meets today, and where meals matter as much for their warmth as their flavor. We’re a tight-knit team who gathers around the table (sometimes outdoors, under the trees) for more than just food — it’s a pause in the day, a chance to connect. Think home-grown veggies, fresh eggs, and casual conversations sprinkled with laughter. While we’re serious about good work (and good food!), we keep things friendly and supportive. Oh, and on Fridays, don’t be surprised if breakfast turns into a bit of a feast.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing daily meals rooted in Gulf and local traditions — from hearty stews to delicate Arabic breads
- Rolling out soft parathas and crisping them up just right for breakfast or afternoon tea
- Planning and cooking a variety of breakfast options to kickstart the team’s day
- Creating an inviting, organized kitchen space, including regular cleaning and upholding food hygiene
- Coordinating with the team to use fresh farm ingredients whenever possible
- Sometimes adjusting recipes or schedules to keep things interesting — we welcome your creative twist
- Helping with occasional special lunches or gatherings — a chance to show off your signature dish!
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Hands-on experience with Gulf cuisine, Arabic bread, and classic local dishes
- Confidence in making paratha and a variety of breakfast meals (think: eggs, flatbreads, more)
- Commitment to kitchen cleanliness and food safety
- A flexible mindset — comfortable working independently in a farm/ranch setting
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with sourcing and using farm-fresh produce
- Ability to cater to dietary preferences (vegetarian, lighter options, etc.)
- Previous experience cooking for small teams or in ranch/farm environments
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Daily access to fresh, locally grown ingredients — you’ll taste the difference
- Peaceful, scenic surroundings (occasional peacocks or goats might wander past the kitchen window)
- Supportive, family-like team who values your passion and talent
- Regular, predictable hours — no late-night restaurant shifts
- Opportunities to share your food traditions and maybe even learn some new ones
- A genuine appreciation for your craft, not just your output
If you’re looking for a place where the food you make matters just as much as the people you share it with, you might just find your next home here.
