About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever thought about becoming an important part of a family’s daily life, helping things run smoothly and lending a caring hand? We’re searching for a dedicated Housemaid in Al Ain to join our home, support my 60-year-old mother, and keep our four-bedroom house tidy and welcoming. If you’re ready to get started right away, we’re offering a one-week paid trial — and if we all feel at home together, we’ll take care of all the paperwork (including your visa) so you can settle in for the long term.
About Our Family
We’re a small, close-knit family that believes in treating everyone with respect and kindness — including the people who help us at home. Our household is calm, friendly, and values trust above all. The house itself is spacious but not fussy, and you’d have your own private, comfortable room. We also pay attention to little things — a shared cup of tea here, a laugh over chores there. Our goal? For everyone under this roof to feel truly at home.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting my mother each day with her routines (think: gentle reminders, a helping hand around the house, keeping her company)
- Daily cleaning of the home, including bedrooms, kitchen, and living spaces (we like a tidy, peaceful place)
- Taking care of laundry and ironing as needed
- Helping with meal prep and simple cooking, if you’re comfortable in the kitchen
- Keeping an eye on household supplies and letting us know if anything runs low
- Pitching in with extra help when we have family or guests over—it’s usually not too hectic!
- Respecting everyone’s privacy and contributing to a warm, family vibe
What You’ll Bring
- Experience with housework and cleaning (either with a family or professionally—both count)
- A caring, patient nature—especially when supporting elderly family members
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
- Trustworthy and reliable—someone we can count on to care for our home when we’re busy
- Willingness to start immediately and try out the role for one week before we make it official
- Must be currently based in Al Ain
- Nice-to-have: Experience working with older adults or in family homes; basic cooking skills
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still be happy to meet you and see if it’s a fit.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Your own dedicated, private room in our home (privacy is important to us)
- Supportive, family-style environment where your work is truly appreciated
- One-week paid trial, with visa and all paperwork handled if things go well
- Reasonable and clear work hours, with breaks and plenty of respect for your time
- The warmth of being part of a genuine household, not just a workplace
If you’re looking to join a family where you’ll be treated with kindness and become part of the daily rhythm, this could be the right place for you. We’re excited to welcome someone who can help us take care of our home—and each other.
