About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever found yourself orchestrating the perfect event and thinking, “If only I could do this on my own terms?” This might be your moment. We're on the lookout for a Freelancer Events Manager—someone with both the drive and the track record to take the reins on a diverse range of projects right here in Abu Dhabi’s vibrant Khalidiyah neighborhood. If you thrive on variety, autonomy, and the chance to make a real mark in the local events scene, keep reading.
About Us
We’re not your traditional events agency. Our team is a tight-knit crew of self-starters and collaborators who believe in mixing creativity with precision. Our focus? Making every event—whether corporate, cultural, or community-driven—unforgettable for all the right reasons. Our workspace is fluid (think sidewalk coffees and spirited brainstorms rather than boardrooms). We celebrate wins both big and small, and Friday planning huddles are as lively as the events we manage. Here, initiative is celebrated, and every voice matters.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Taking full ownership of events from client briefing to post-event wrap-up
- Managing client relationships and handling communications (with a smile, even when things get hectic)
- Budgeting, cost control, and negotiating with vendors—you’ll be the go-to for getting things done efficiently
- Overseeing logistics on the ground: venue visits, supplier coordination, and keeping everything running smoothly on the day
- Crafting event proposals and timelines that make clients feel instantly at ease
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving in real time (because something always pops up, doesn’t it?)
- Driving between locations in Khalidiyah and across Abu Dhabi—your car will get to know the city as well as you do
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves
- Valid UAE residency permit (clean and clear of fines)
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Events, Hospitality, PR, Business—or tell us how your background fits!)
- 5–6 years’ solid experience managing events from start to finish
- Fluent spoken and written English—you’re as skilled with a negotiation as you are with an email
- UAE driver’s license and your own car (we’re serious about mobility)
Nice-to-Haves
- Local vendor contacts or a flair for networking within Abu Dhabi
- Additional languages (Arabic, anyone?)
- Tech-savvy, with experience in events management software or digital marketing
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to meet motivated people who love events as much as we do.
