About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what it takes to be the heartbeat of an upscale hotel in one of Dubai’s liveliest neighborhoods? If you’re someone who thrives on making a lasting first impression and genuinely enjoys making people feel welcome, our upscale hotel in Al Karama is calling. We currently have immediate openings for Customer Service and Receptionist roles — and yes, both men and women are encouraged to apply. If you’re already in the UAE (resident, visitor — doesn’t matter!), this could be your chance to join a team where hospitality is an art form, not just a job.

About the Company

Step inside our hotel and you’ll instantly sense the difference: a space that marries contemporary comfort with just the right touch of luxury. But it’s our team’s spirit that guests talk about long after checkout. From celebratory dinners when we hit milestones to afternoon pep talks over coffee in the break room, this is a place where people root for each other. We’re in a growth phase, bringing fresh faces and ideas into our busy lobby — and the energy is contagious. In Al Karama, where tradition meets modern buzz, you’ll get to greet guests from all over the world, each day a new opportunity to shine.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Greeting guests with warmth, professionalism, and that genuine smile that makes all the difference
  • Handling check-in and check-out processes seamlessly, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Responding to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns (over the phone, at the desk, or even via WhatsApp) — solving small problems before they become big ones
  • Collaborating with housekeeping and other departments to ensure rooms are ready and guest requests are met promptly
  • Managing bookings and reservation systems; staying on top of those last-minute changes that keep things interesting
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting reception area — because first impressions really do count here
  • Occasionally assisting with administrative tasks, from managing records to helping set up for special events
  • Acting as an ambassador for the hotel — sharing local tips, arranging transport, or just listening when a weary traveler needs a friendly ear

What You’ll Bring

  • Excellent communication skills — English is essential, and Arabic or another language is a plus
  • A naturally warm, guest-focused attitude with a knack for putting people at ease
  • Well-groomed, professional appearance (because presentation matters in our line of work)
  • Experience in customer service, hospitality, or front desk (hotel experience is great, but not a deal breaker!)
  • Tech-savvy comfort with basic computer systems and digital reservation platforms
  • Ability to stay calm, adapt, and multi-task even when the lobby is buzzing
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends or holidays (hospitality never sleeps)

Not sure you fit every single criteria? Don’t worry — we value potential just as much as experience. If you love people and think you’d be a good fit, we’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive basic salary starting from AED 3,000 — with room to grow as you shine
  • Supportive, multi-cultural team that genuinely celebrates your achievements
  • On-the-job training and real career advancement opportunities (we love promoting from within)
  • Staff discounts on dining, rooms, and spa services — so you can experience the hotel’s best, too
  • Prime Al Karama location — easy public transport access and all the city’s buzz right outside the door
  • Uniform provided and meals during shifts (no rumbling tummies at reception)
  • Friendly and approachable management — your ideas and feedback are always welcome
  • Dynamic, busy days where no two shifts feel the same

We know you have lots of choices in Dubai, but if you’re looking for a place where your energy, kindness, and professionalism are truly valued, you’ll find your second home here. Ready to step into the lobby and make your mark? We can’t wait to meet you.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

  • Can you walk me through how you would handle a busy check-in period with multiple guests arriving at once, some with last-minute reservation changes?
  • Tell us about a time you had to quickly resolve a guest’s complaint or issue. What steps did you take and what was the outcome?
  • How comfortable are you with managing digital reservation systems or other front desk software, and do you have experience with any specific platforms?
  • When collaborating with housekeeping or other departments, how do you ensure guest requests are communicated and fulfilled promptly?
  • How would you maintain an inviting and organized reception area during particularly hectic or high-traffic periods?
  • What approach do you use to make sure every guest feels genuinely welcome, even when you’re under pressure?
  • Describe a situation where you adapted quickly to an unexpected change during your shift. How did you keep things running smoothly?
  • Our guests come from all over the world. How do you navigate language or cultural barriers to ensure everyone feels comfortable?
  • Give an example of how you handled a multitasking situation—balancing phone inquiries, walk-ins, and supporting a colleague at the same time.
  • What do you think sets exceptional customer service in a hotel setting apart from customer service in other industries?
  • This is a team that loves to celebrate each other’s successes. How do you like to contribute to a supportive and positive work environment?
  • Can you share how you maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance and why it’s important at the front desk?
  • We aim to be ambassadors not just for the hotel, but for the city. How would you help a guest looking for local recommendations or need help arranging transport?
  • What excites you about working in a vibrant, multicultural setting like Al Karama, and how do you make the most of it in your role?
