About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Introduction

Ever walked into a hotel room or a private residence and felt that immediate sense of calm because everything is just right? That’s the kind of impact a great housekeeper has. We’re looking for a reliable, detail-obsessed individual to join our team in Dubai, and honestly, this is more than just a cleaning job. It’s about creating spaces where people feel comfortable, cared for, and genuinely at ease. If you take pride in your work and have a keen eye for the little things, this full-time role could be a perfect fit for you.

About the Company

We’re a growing hospitality and property management company based in the heart of Dubai, and we like to think we do things a little differently. We’re not a faceless corporation—we’re a tight-knit team that believes in treating our staff like family and our clients like honored guests. Over the years, we’ve built a reputation for excellence, and that starts with the people who keep our spaces spotless. Whether it’s a luxury apartment in Downtown or a villa in the Palm, we approach every property with the same level of care and attention. Our team is diverse, friendly, and supportive, and we genuinely celebrate the hard work that keeps our standards so high. Friday team lunches? Yes, those are a thing.

What You’ll Be Doing (Responsibilities)

  • Deep cleaning and sanitizing of assigned areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and living spaces—making sure every corner meets our high standards.
  • Dusting, polishing, and vacuuming furniture, fixtures, and floors, so everything shines just the way our clients expect.
  • Changing linens, making beds, and replenishing amenities —the small touches that make a space feel welcoming and fresh.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues or damages you spot along the way, because we’d rather fix things early than let them pile up.
  • Managing your time efficiently to complete tasks within a set schedule, without compromising on quality.
  • Following health and safety guidelines to keep both yourself and our clients safe—this is non-negotiable for us.

What You’ll Bring (Qualifications)

Must-Haves:

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, ideally in a hotel, private residence, or similar setting.
  • A strong attention to detail—you notice the dusty shelf others miss.
  • The ability to work independently, but also happily collaborate with the rest of the team when needed.
  • Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus, but not required).
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine sense of pride in your work.
  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of the role (lots of standing, bending, and moving around).

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with specialized cleaning equipment or eco-friendly products.
  • A valid UAE residence visa (though we can assist with the right candidate).

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you. If you’ve got the drive and the willingness to learn, we’re happy to train the right person.

Why You’ll Love Working Here (Benefits & Perks)

  • Competitive salary with opportunities for performance-based bonuses.
  • Accommodation and transportation provided, so you can focus on what you do best.
  • Health insurance coverage to give you peace of mind.
  • A supportive, respectful team that values your contribution—no micromanaging, just trust and teamwork.
  • Career growth opportunities for those who show dedication and initiative.
  • Regular working hours with a fair work-life balance, because we know you have a life outside of work too.

At the end of the day, we want you to feel like this is more than just a paycheck. It’s a place where your efforts are noticed, your skills are appreciated, and your future matters. If that sounds like the kind of environment you’ve been looking for, we’d love to meet you.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk me through your experience with deep cleaning and sanitizing in a hotel or private residence setting? What does your typical cleaning routine look like from start to finish?
  • How do you prioritize when you're given a long list of tasks and a tight schedule? Can you give me an example of a time you had to manage your time effectively to get everything done without cutting corners?
  • We use a mix of standard and eco-friendly cleaning products. Have you worked with specialized equipment or environmentally friendly supplies before, and how do you adapt when a client or supervisor requests a specific product?
  • Tell me about a time you noticed a maintenance issue or damage that others had overlooked. What did you do about it, and how did you handle reporting it?
  • How do you ensure you don't miss the small details—like dusty shelves or streaks on glass—when you're cleaning the same types of spaces day after day? What keeps you motivated to maintain that standard?
  • Imagine you're cleaning a luxury apartment in Downtown and the client is still present, working from home. How would you approach your tasks to respect their space and privacy while still getting the job done efficiently?
  • Describe a situation where you had to work closely with a team to complete a big project, like a full turnover of a villa or a deep clean after an event. What was your role, and how did you handle any disagreements or miscommunications?
  • We value a positive attitude and pride in your work. Can you share a moment when you went above and beyond for a client or guest, and how did they react?
  • Health and safety are non-negotiable for us. Can you tell me about a time you had to follow strict safety protocols, and how do you stay vigilant about them even when you're in a rush?
  • Working independently is a big part of this role. How do you stay on track and motivated when you're cleaning a property solo, with no one checking in on you throughout the day

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

Based on what similar housekeeping roles in Dubai typically offer, you should expect a salary of at least 2,500 to 3,500 AED per month. Since this position comes with accommodation and transportation provided, that base pay is quite competitive, and you can realistically aim for the higher end of that range if you bring strong hotel or private residence experience. If you have specialized skills like eco-friendly cleaning or handling luxury properties, don't hesitate to negotiate closer to 4,000 AED—companies in this sector pay a premium for that extra polish.
