About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what it’s like to keep a lively household running smoothly while making genuine connections along the way? We’re a family of five—my husband, myself, and our three wonderful children—searching for an exceptional housemaid with a special touch for cooking and a heart for children. This isn’t just about keeping things tidied up (though, trust us, that’s a mighty important part!); it’s also about becoming an important part of our family’s daily life, offering both support and warmth.
About Us
We’re an energetic family with two school-aged kids who never seem to run out of questions (or socks to lose!) and a baby whose giggles fill the house. While your main focus will be the older two, it’s safe to say our home is always buzzing with life and laughter. We pride ourselves on open communication, mutual respect, and the belief that a happy home is a team effort. Our kitchen’s the heart of our home—we love sharing meals, and we celebrate everyone’s small victories, from report card triumphs to perfectly fluffed pillows. If you value a warm, family-centric atmosphere (where no day is ever quite the same), you might just feel right at home with us.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing daily meals the family will genuinely look forward to—think comforting classics and maybe the occasional adventure into new cuisine
- Lending a creative hand in meal planning, grocery lists, and managing the kitchen’s organization
- Caring patiently and attentively for our two older children (helping them with afterschool routines, encouraging good habits, and maybe even joining in on a game or two)
- Managing daily cleaning and tidying, from picking up scattered schoolbags to making sure each room feels inviting
- Organizing closets, storage areas, and all the magical spaces where our family life overflows
- Assisting with laundry: sorting, folding, channelling your inner “laundry ninja”
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Confidence and skill in cooking family-style meals—you know your way around a kitchen and enjoy making delicious, balanced dishes
- Patience and a natural warmth with school-aged children; you genuinely like engaging with kids and understand their needs
- Solid experience with household cleaning and organization—tidiness comes naturally to you
- Good communication skills, reliability, and a positive attitude
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with family routines and multitasking in busy homes
- A knack for adding those “extra touches” that make a house feel like a home (think: pretty table settings or clever storage hacks)
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- A welcoming family environment where kindness and respect are non-negotiable
- Regular, reliable working hours with a predictable routine (no late nights!)
- Opportunity to showcase your cooking skills and maybe pass along a favorite recipe or two
- Supportive atmosphere—problems are solved together, not alone
- Open and friendly communication—we truly value honest feedback and ideas
We value hard work and a big heart in equal measure. Here, your efforts won’t go unnoticed; you’ll be appreciated as a vital part of our family’s everyday story. If you’re searching for more than “just a job,” and want a place where your skills make a meaningful difference, we’d love to chat.
