About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what it’s like to keep a bustling city-based office connected at every turn? As an IT Engineer at our Sharjah HQ, you’ll have the chance to work hands-on with cutting-edge telecom technology—especially if you’ve navigated the ins and outs of Etisalat projects before. This isn’t just another support role; it’s your opportunity to elevate how our fast-growing team works, collaborates, and delivers in a truly dynamic office right on the Corniche.

About the Company

At Your Company Name, technology is the heartbeat of our business—even if we aren’t a tech company in the traditional sense. We believe IT isn’t just about fixing what’s broken; it’s about empowering everyone to do their absolute best. You’ll notice pretty quickly that we value initiative, curiosity, and a genuine team spirit (our shared lunches and post-project outings near Al Majaz are legendary). Growth is a given: as our office expands, so do your opportunities.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing, deploying, and maintaining secure network infrastructure—think routers, switches, firewalls—across our Sharjah office
  • Acting as the go-to troubleshooter for all IT issues, whether it's puzzling connectivity drops or VPN mysteries
  • Configuring and managing Etisalat-provided solutions (voice, data, enterprise services) and serving as our in-house subject matter expert
  • Working directly with contractors and Etisalat support when escalations or new services arise
  • Proactively monitoring systems for performance and security issues, addressing risks before the team even notices
  • Supporting onboarding by setting up hardware and access rights for new joiners (because first impressions matter!)
  • Documenting IT processes clearly for your colleagues—future you will thank you, and so will everyone else
  • Providing occasional after-hours support during critical upgrades or urgent incidents (we won’t make a habit of it, promise)

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Previous experience on Etisalat projects, or with telecom/enterprise IT environments in the UAE
  • Strong grasp of network protocols and hardware (Cisco, Aruba, HP, etc.)
  • Ability to troubleshoot calmly—your solution-focused mindset keeps the office moving
  • Fluent English; basic Arabic a plus for working with vendors
  • UAE residency or the right to work in Sharjah

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Certifications like CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or similar
  • Track record with IT security best practices
  • A knack for clear communication, even with less-technical teammates

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Beautiful city office in Al Durrah Tower, with panoramic Corniche views and inspiring surroundings
  • Competitive salary and regular performance reviews
  • Health insurance, annual flight allowance, and support with visa sponsorship
  • Flexible approach to working hours when needed
  • A warm, encouraging team environment where your expertise is respected—and your ideas genuinely welcomed
  • Opportunities for professional development, certifications, and attending tech events
  • Regular team outings and spontaneous coffee runs just steps from your desk

You’ll find that we take pride in both our technology and our people. Here, your work directly supports the growth of the team—and your own career. Isn’t it time to make your mark in a place where IT really matters?

  • How do you ensure security and compliance when setting up new infrastructure or onboarding new users?
  • In your previous roles, what tools or processes did you use for proactive system monitoring to catch performance or security problems before they escalated?
  • Walk us through a time you worked closely with telecom vendors, like Etisalat, especially during a service escalation or network upgrade. What helped you achieve a positive outcome?
  • Tell me about how you keep IT documentation user-friendly—how do you strike a balance between technical accuracy and clarity for colleagues with varying tech backgrounds?
  • Have you worked situations where you needed to provide after-hours IT support? How did you handle the urgency and communicate with the wider team?
  • Our team values initiative and curiosity; can you share an example where you proactively improved a process or solved a recurring issue at your workplace?

  • What are your thoughts on continuous learning and professional development in IT, and how have you previously pursued certifications or skills growth?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

For an IT Engineer role in Sharjah with experience in telecom environments and hands-on expertise with Etisalat projects, you should expect a salary of at least 7,000 to 10,000 AED per month, depending on your specific certifications and years of experience. Similar positions in the UAE, especially with a focus on enterprise IT and network management, typically offer competitive packages in this range, often including benefits like health insurance and annual flight allowances.
