About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever worked your magic turning raw timber into something truly unique? As a Joinery Carpenter with our team in Ajman Industrial Area, you won’t just be building furniture — you’ll be crafting spaces people love to live and work in. If you take pride in precise joinery, appreciate the satisfaction of a well-finished corner, and want to see your handiwork all around the city, this could be the role for you. There’s real stability here for skilled carpenters ready to work full-time and grow with a company that values hands-on expertise.

About the Company

We’re a tight-knit crew of craftsmen, designers, and project managers who believe a workshop should feel a bit like home. Our days aren’t just about sawing and sanding — we’re constantly tinkering with new techniques, sharing tips, and taking pride in every project from bold hotel lobbies to custom kitchen cabinets. At our Ajman base, you’ll find a team that supports each other, celebrates the little wins, and isn’t afraid of a challenge. Fridays might be quieter, but don’t be surprised if someone brings in karak and a box of sweets after a successful delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Construct, assemble, and finish furniture and bespoke joinery items according to detailed drawings and client specs.
  • Work closely with our production and fit-out teams to guarantee quality and consistency project by project.
  • Use a variety of workshop tools (saws, planers, sanders, etc.) safely and skillfully — your toolbox is your pride!
  • Install cabinetry, shelving, and other custom fixtures at client sites in Ajman and occasionally across the Emirates.
  • Troubleshoot snags or fit issues on-site, improvising smart solutions when things don’t quite line up.
  • Maintain a tidy, safety-first workshop — everyone pitches in here.
  • Mentor less-experienced teammates and share trade secrets (if you’re game).

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • At least 2 years of joinery carpentry experience right here in the UAE — you know how things get done locally.
  • Proven work in furniture manufacturing and interior fit-out works (your portfolio or past project list will help here).
  • Ability to read technical drawings, measure twice, cut once, and deliver a reliably high finish.
  • Willingness to work full-time (overtime available) — you thrive on staying ‘hands-on’ and productive.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • A friendly manner and willingness to help new team members settle in.
  • Experience with unique joinery projects or specialty finishes.
  • Basic communication skills in English, Arabic, or Hindi/Urdu.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you. Skill and the right attitude count here.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary, paid reliably every month.
  • Overtime pay for those longer project pushes — your extra hours are valued.
  • Company-provided accommodation, just a short distance from our busy workshop.
  • Daily transport organized and covered by us, saving you the hassle.
  • Real team spirit — support when you need it, recognition when you go the extra mile.
  • Steady workflow, so you’re rarely left chasing hours or worrying about the next job.

We know that good carpenters are the heartbeat of our company, and we strive to make work here as rewarding as the finished product. If you’re looking for a new workshop to call home — and colleagues who feel the same — we can’t wait to meet you.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through a recent joinery project you worked on, highlighting any unique techniques or materials you used?
  • When reviewing a technical drawing for a custom piece of furniture, how do you ensure you fully understand the details before starting the build?
  • Tell me about a time you needed to improvise a solution on-site because something didn’t fit as planned. What approach did you take?
  • How do you balance speed and precision when working under tight project deadlines, especially during installation phases?
  • Which workshop tools do you consider your specialty, and how do you maintain them for peak performance?
  • Describe your experience working with interior fit-outs in the UAE. What challenges have you encountered, and how did you address them?
  • If a new team member was struggling to operate a piece of equipment safely, how would you help them improve while maintaining workflow?
  • Share an example of a time you mentored or supported a less-experienced colleague. What did you do, and what was the outcome?
  • How do you contribute to maintaining a safe, organized, and tidy workshop environment for yourself and others?
  • Have you worked in small, close-knit teams before? How do you keep morale strong during busy periods?
  • What do you enjoy most about seeing your projects installed in real spaces, and how do you celebrate team successes?
  • If you noticed a consistent quality issue across several projects, what steps would you take to address it with your supervisor or team?
  • How comfortable are you communicating with clients or site contacts during installations, especially across language barriers?
  • We value camaraderie and celebrating small wins — how do you like to build connections with your colleagues at work?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

For a skilled Joinery Carpenter with a couple of years’ experience in the UAE, you should expect a salary of at least 2,200–3,000 AED per month in Ajman, especially since accommodation and transport are provided by the company. Similar roles in established joinery or fit-out workshops often include overtime pay and room for growth, so if you have a strong portfolio and reliable workmanship, don’t hesitate to negotiate towards the higher end of that range.
