About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever thought about finding a place where your housekeeping skills are truly valued—and you’re welcomed like family, not just staff? We're looking for a full-time, live-in maid to help maintain a peaceful 2-bedroom home in Dubailand, Dubai. If you’re organized, trustworthy, and take pride in making a house run smoothly, this could be just the opportunity you’ve been seeking.
About the Household
We’re a small, close-knit household of three adults—plus two affectionate cats who keep things interesting! Our home is calm and easygoing, with a light, steady daily routine rather than frantic comings and goings. We appreciate clear communication (in English or Arabic), honest effort, and a touch of good humor—so if you love a tidy home and find joy in simple routines, you’ll fit right in. And yes, our cats are mostly content to nap, but every now and then you might find them chasing a sunbeam.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Keeping the home sparkling: daily cleaning of all living spaces, kitchen, and bathroom
- Cooking daily meals (simple, home-style recipes—think wholesome and fresh, not fancy cuisine)
- Taking care of laundry and ironing, making sure everyone always has fresh clothes
- Light organizational tasks—keeping things in their place, running minor errands if needed
- Occasionally giving the cats fresh water and tidying their space
- Helping the household stay peaceful and orderly with your caring presence
What You’ll Bring (Qualifications)
Must-Haves:
- Relevant experience as a maid, domestic helper, or housekeeper—references are a big plus
- Ability to communicate clearly in English or Arabic
- Honest, responsible, and proactive attitude
- Comfort with both cleaning routines and daily cooking (simple meals!)
- Willingness to live in (partition accommodation will be provided) and become part of the home
- Kindness toward animals (our two cats are family, too)
Nice-to-Haves:
- Prior experience in Dubai or the Middle East
- Easygoing nature—someone who takes changes and requests in stride
- Familiarity with Oromo language, though not required
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here (Benefits & Perks)
- Free accommodation provided (partition for privacy)
- Meals included—never worry about groceries or your next meal
- Fixed monthly salary paid on time (AED 1,200)
- Light, manageable workload—no huge family gatherings or events
- Every day is peaceful, calm, and predictable
- Small, respectful household that values clear communication and trust
- Two purring cats (and some occasional cat cuddles, if you’re so inclined)
This isn’t just another housekeeping role—it’s an invitation to become a cherished part of our home, with all the stability and respect you deserve. If you’re dedicated, sincere, and ready for a supportive long-term fit, we can’t wait to welcome you.
