About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what it’s like to become an essential part of a family’s day-to-day life? As a live-in Nanny/Housekeeper, you’ll do much more than keep things running smoothly — you’ll help nurture young minds, maintain a peaceful home, and be that comforting presence everyone is glad to see at the end of the day. If you’re steady, adaptable, and truly take pride in creating a nurturing environment, this may just be the place for you.
About the Family
We’re a close-knit household that believes a happy home makes all the difference in our children’s lives. Our home hums with the gentle chaos that comes from raising kids, and we’re on the lookout for someone who can bring warmth, order, and a sense of calm to our little corner of the world. We value open communication, trust, and treating everyone here — staff included — like part of our extended family. And yes, we keep the coffee brewing and laughter going, even on Mondays.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing attentive, responsible care for our children — from meal times to playtime, stories, and the occasional scraped knee
- Organizing and maintaining the household so it’s warm, inviting, and as tidy as life with kids allows
- Handling daily cleaning tasks, including laundry, tidying up communal areas, and keeping bedrooms neat
- Preparing simple family-style meals or snacks as needed (no Michelin stars required, but a steady hand with the basics is appreciated)
- Being a steady presence — someone the kids can rely on, and who notices when the little things need doing
- Occasionally running errands or managing small household purchases
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Age between 40 and 45 years old
- Good spoken and understanding of English — strong enough to clearly communicate with both children and adults
- Previous experience caring for children as a nanny or in a similar setting
- A genuine love for children, combined with patience and a sense of humor
- Trustworthy, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality
- Willingness to live-in and become a true part of the household
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience managing a busy household, or previous live-in roles
- Ability to cook simple meals beyond the basics
- First aid certification or knowledge of basic child safety
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Private, comfortable accommodation provided within the family home
- Regular meals — and you’ll never dine alone unless you want to
- Supportive, kind environment where your contribution is truly valued
- Real work-life balance — planned days off and flexibility when you need it
- Open communication and respect for your experience and ideas
We know the role of a nanny/housekeeper isn’t just a job — it’s a relationship built on trust and care. If you’re looking for a home, not just a place to work, we can’t wait to meet you.
