About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what it’s like to see your engineering decisions come to life at the scale of a city block? As a Mechanical Engineer at Abu Dhabi Mega Project Contracting, you’ll have the chance to do exactly that — shaping ambitious builds from blueprint to handover. We’re on the hunt for someone passionate about mechanical systems and excited to leave their mark on some of the UAE’s most talked-about developments.
About the Company
At Abu Dhabi Mega Project Contracting, we’ve carved a name for ourselves by tackling complex challenges in the heart of the UAE’s dynamic construction scene. Our team is a lively mix of hands-on veterans and eager innovators (Monday mornings see as much coffee as collaboration), all united by pride in delivering projects that set new benchmarks. If you thrive in an environment where each site visit offers a new learning curve — and where your technical opinions really matter — you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing installation, commissioning, and operation of HVAC and plumbing systems on major construction sites.
- Coordinating directly with architects, civil engineers, and consultants to resolve technical snags and keep things moving smoothly.
- Preparing, reviewing, and revising detailed mechanical drawings, technical reports, and supporting calculations.
- Leading on-site supervision — ensuring workmanship, materials, and safety measures meet both spec and schedule.
- Tackling technical issues as they arise (sometimes in real time — we value a cool head under pressure).
- Keeping project stakeholders updated by crafting clear progress reports and documentation.
- Supporting procurement and material submittals to align with engineering requirements.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC and plumbing systems, ideally in large-scale projects.
- Strong site coordination and supervision chops.
- Familiarity with preparing technical reports, shop drawings, and documentation.
- UAE experience — you know the local codes, climate challenges, and project pace.
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
Nice-to-Haves:
- UAE driving license (it makes those multi-site days a breeze).
- Exposure to mechanical systems beyond HVAC and plumbing (think: fire protection or building automation).
- Working proficiency with design tools and software like AutoCAD or Revit.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary reviewed annually — we know good talent deserves recognition.
- Dynamic team culture with real opportunities to lead on flagship regional projects.
- Support for professional development and training (whether it’s a certification or just picking up a new tool).
- Collaborative, no-ego environment — your input counts, from kick-off to handing over the keys.
- Flexible approach to on-site and office work, plus regular team lunches and site walk-throughs that keep the workday from ever feeling routine.
We take pride in our projects and in our people. If you’re looking to level up your career with projects that challenge and inspire, you might’ve just found your next team.
