About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what it’s like to be the warm, welcoming face that sets the tone for a patient’s entire healthcare experience? At Al Maria Medical Centre in Baniyas, we’re searching for an experienced, Arabic-speaking female Medical Receptionist who genuinely enjoys helping people and keeping things running smoothly. If you thrive on busy days, meaningful patient interactions, and being the linchpin of a caring team, this might be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

About Al Maria Medical Centre

Al Maria Medical Centre has proudly served the Baniyas community for years, blending quality healthcare with a genuine neighborly approach. Our team is tight-knit — the kind where coffee breaks turn into impromptu brainstorming sessions, and everyone pitches in during peak times. We believe in treating our patients (and our colleagues) like family, and Friday mornings? You’ll often find us sharing homemade treats in the break room. We’re in a vibrant growth phase, investing in newer systems and fresh faces to keep our patient experience top-notch.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Greet every patient and visitor with a warm, genuine welcome — in person and on the phone.
  • Handle patient registration, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Manage the waiting area, keeping things organized and calmly juggling multiple tasks.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and records according to clinic policies.
  • Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other staff to ensure smooth patient flow (and happy patients).
  • Answer inquiries with clarity, empathy, and professionalism — whether it’s a simple question or a more complex need.
  • Support behind-the-scenes admin: updating files, managing calendars, and assisting with front desk logistics.
  • Help troubleshoot appointment mix-ups, reschedule when necessary, and generally save the day.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Prior experience as a receptionist in a medical centre or clinic (at least 1 year).
  • Fluent Arabic and strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Professional telephone etiquette and a knack for putting anxious patients at ease.
  • Confident in appointment scheduling, registration software, and handling sensitive information discreetly.
  • Reliable, friendly, and able to multitask — especially on busy days.
  • Only female candidates will be considered for this role (role-specific requirement).

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Comfort with basic medical terminology.
  • Familiarity with insurance processes in the UAE healthcare system.
  • A sense of humor or warm energy that makes the team (and patients) smile.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Consistent, full-time working hours — no late evenings or overnight shifts.
  • Supportive, close-knit team that cheers for each other (and shares good coffee).
  • Professional growth: opportunities to learn new systems, gain skills, and potentially advance within the centre.
  • Centrally located in Baniyas — part of a community that cares.
  • Employee discounts on medical services for you and your immediate family.
  • Regular team lunches and occasional after-work get-togethers — we celebrate big wins and birthdays alike.

We know the front desk is the heart of our clinic, and we’re committed to making it a place where you can do your best work (and feel valued every single day). If you’re ready to join a team where people remember your name and patients appreciate your smile, we can’t wait to meet you.
