About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Introduction
Curious about what it takes to keep a bustling construction office running smoothly? As our new Office & Human Resources Coordinator, you'll be the hub that connects people, processes, paperwork, and purpose. This isn’t just about keeping the coffee fresh (although we do appreciate a good brew); it’s about providing thoughtful support so that our team can focus on building what matters. If you enjoy variety in your day, a mix of solo organization and group collaboration, and the occasional surprise challenge, you might just be a perfect fit.
About the Company
We’re a growing construction firm known for more than just concrete and blueprints — we’re all about building relationships and a supportive, close-knit culture. Collaboration is our blueprint, and you’ll find that everyone pitches in when deadlines loom or milestones are met. Our team loves swapping stories over breakfast meetings, and we have a not-so-secret rivalry when it comes to Friday lunchtime trivia. Here, you won’t get lost in the shuffle — your voice will be heard, and your work will make a real impact as we continue to expand across the region.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Acting as the welcoming face at reception — greeting guests, answering calls, and making sure everyone feels at home.
- Managing critical office functions: taking care of archiving, handling supply orders, and keeping our space efficient and organized.
- Supporting day-to-day HR activities — helping with initial recruitment, maintaining and updating employee files, and prepping official letters and contracts.
- Updating staff data in our records efficiently and confidentially.
- Assisting with the preparation and formatting of admin reports and company documents when needed.
- Organizing, scheduling, and occasionally minute-taking for internal and client-facing meetings.
- Being the go-to person for day-to-day administrative puzzles — whether that means finding a misplaced document or coordinating a last-minute courier.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves
- Previous experience in an office coordinator, admin, or human resources support role.
- Great organization skills and attention to detail — you love keeping things tidy, on time, and well-documented.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfort with basic office tech — think MS Office Suite or Google Workspace.
- Professionalism and tact when handling sensitive information.
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with construction or project-driven environments.
- Experience using HR information systems or digital archiving tools.
- A knack for solving problems before they become problems.
Not sure you fit every requirement? That’s okay — we care more about your enthusiasm and willingness to learn than ticking every single box.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Supportive, hands-on team that values ambition and celebrates milestones (big and small).
- Opportunities to learn about the construction industry from the inside out.
- Hybrid work options with flexibility for life’s curveballs.
- Transparent leadership that encourages your input and professional development goals.
- Regular team-building events — from early-morning breakfasts to the (occasional competitive) after-work get-togethers.
- Robust health benefits, leave policy, and room to grow within our evolving company.
We’re proud of the environment we’ve built — one where your ideas matter and your dedication gets noticed. If you’re ready to jump in and help us keep building — both literally and metaphorically — we’d be excited to chat.
