About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever thought about making a real impact in young learners’ lives while experiencing Abu Dhabi’s unique blend of tradition and modernity? Here's your chance. We’re looking for a passionate Bus Monitor Teacher who’s keen to foster a safe and caring environment for students as they travel to and from school. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill support role — you’ll be the extra set of eyes, hands, and heart ensuring that every child’s day gets off to a smooth start and ends on a high note.
About the Company
We’re a close-knit educational community that believes the school journey begins long before the first bell. Our team’s mornings are full of friendly greetings, gentle reminders, and a few inside jokes. We take pride in creating a nurturing environment where every child feels seen and supported — not just in the classroom, but from the moment they step onto the bus. While we operate within Abu Dhabi’s vibrant education sector, our culture is down-to-earth and genuinely collaborative. Staff lunches sometimes evolve into lively debates over the best weekend spots, and Friday “good news” shoutouts are a tradition we all look forward to.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Greeting students as they board and exit the bus, making them feel welcome and secure.
- Supervising and supporting children during their journey, maintaining a calm and positive atmosphere.
- Assisting the bus driver with safe pick-up and drop-off procedures across Abu Dhabi neighborhoods.
- Managing daily attendance, keeping parents and school staff informed as needed.
- Responding promptly and kindly to any accidents, upsets, or unexpected events.
- Encouraging good manners and safe behavior among students, even when energy is running high.
- Communicating clearly with colleagues, parents, and occasionally soothing anxious first-time riders.
- Flexibility in responsibilities — some days may call for quick thinking or a bit of extra patience.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Residency in Abu Dhabi, with valid and transferable residency/iqama status.
- At least one year of relevant experience (school, childcare, or supervising children in a group setting).
- Warmth, patience, and a genuine care for children’s safety and comfort.
- Willingness to work eight-hour shifts, including “over time” as required.
- Basic spoken English or Arabic to support communication with children and drivers.
- Reliable punctuality and a can-do, collaborative attitude.
Nice-to-Haves:
- First aid certification (but we’ll happily train the right person).
- Experience working with multicultural teams or students.
- A sense of humor — those early mornings go a lot smoother with a smile!
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary: Starting at 2,500 AED per month.
- Free accommodation — say goodbye to housing worries.
- Transportation provided: No commute stress; we’ll get you to work and home again.
- Enjoy 4 days paid leave each month (or take the cash value, if you prefer).
- Supportive, friendly team culture where your effort is truly valued.
- Opportunity for steady, meaningful work in the heart of Abu Dhabi’s lively educational community.
Here, you’re never “just” a bus monitor. You’re a vital part of a child’s day — and ours too. If you’re ready for a role where your compassion really counts, let’s connect.
