Salary: Negotiable

About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what it takes to keep a thriving company moving smoothly in the UAE? As our Public Relations Officer (PRO), you’ll be the vital link between our dynamic team and the many government agencies that keep the business world turning. If you take pride in navigating regulations, streamlining paperwork, and seeing your expertise make a daily difference, this could be your next big adventure.

About Us

We’re more than just a group of professionals — we’re a collaborative, ambitious team who believe business should run ethically and efficiently. Our office is a place where no two days are exactly the same, and the coffee machine is abuzz with stories about family, football, and, yes, triumphant moments at the Ministry! Growth is not just a buzzword here; it’s our reality. We’re expanding in the UAE, taking on exciting projects, and building a reputation for compliance and integrity. You’ll join a team that celebrates life’s small victories (like a visa processed in record time) and looks out for each other.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Handling all aspects of visa processing: applications, renewals, and cancellations — for employees, their families, and visitors.
  • Taking charge of every step in immigration and MOHRE-related issues, ensuring policies are met and deadlines are never missed.
  • Liaising with government departments such as DED, Municipality, and Freezone authorities to keep our operations running without a hitch.
  • Managing company license renewals and trade license updates so our legal standing is always squeaky clean.
  • Keeping us fully compliant with UAE Labor Laws, sharing regulatory changes with the wider team, and advising on best practices.
  • Processing an array of official documentation — from employee contracts and labor cards to lease agreements.
  • Building positive relationships with authorities, becoming the go-to contact for all external government affairs.
  • Jumping in to troubleshoot or smoothen unexpected hurdles that (inevitably!) pop up in the ever-shifting world of compliance.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • In-depth knowledge of UAE Labor and Immigration Laws, with proven experience navigating government portals and departments.
  • Prior experience in a similar PRO or government relations role — you know the ins and outs of processes for visas, companies, and licensing.
  • Strong Arabic and English communication skills; you’re at ease in conversation and with written documentation.
  • Top-notch organizational skills: you keep deadlines, track documents, and make juggling tasks look easy.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused attitude — you’re always thinking one step ahead.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience working with Freezone entities and understanding their specific requirements.
  • Familiarity with digital transformation of government services (because, yes, paperless is finally happening).
  • A knack for building genuine rapport — not just transactional relationships — with government contacts.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you. Your willingness to learn and make a difference could be what sets you apart.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary with annual performance reviews.
  • Opportunity for rapid career growth as the company expands and processes evolve.
  • Collaborative team environment where questions are welcome, and your insights make real impact.
  • Flexible work hours and support for your family needs — we know life happens outside the office.
  • Regular team lunches, birthday surprises, and a little extra time off during public holidays.
  • Modern, well-equipped office in a convenient location (with parking!).

Here, your attention to detail and passion for problem-solving won’t be lost in the shuffle. You’ll help set the gold standard for compliance and smooth operations — and you’ll have some laughs along the way. Let’s make every day run a little smoother, together.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through the full process of handling visa applications and renewals for both employees and their dependents in the UAE?
  • How do you stay updated with changing UAE Labor Laws and ensure the company remains fully compliant?
  • Tell us about a time you successfully managed trade license renewals or company license updates under tight deadlines.
  • What strategies have you used to build and maintain strong relationships with various government departments, such as DED, Municipality, or Freezone authorities?
  • Describe your experience with troubleshooting unexpected compliance or regulatory hurdles. Can you share a specific example and how you resolved it?
  • How comfortable are you with navigating government online portals and digital platforms, especially for immigration or MOHRE processes?
  • Can you give an example of a situation where you proactively identified a compliance issue before it became a problem? What steps did you take?
  • How do you ensure accuracy and timeliness when juggling multiple administrative tasks and deadlines?
  • Share a time when you had to communicate complex regulatory changes to a diverse internal team. How did you make sure everyone understood their responsibilities?
  • What motivates you to handle repetitive or high-pressure paperwork, especially when facing looming deadlines or last-minute issues?
  • How would you describe your approach to building rapport with external stakeholders, beyond just completing transactions?
  • Our team culture is collaborative and upbeat — how do you contribute to a positive work environment, even during busy or stressful times?
  • Flexibility and adaptability are important in our fast-moving office. Can you tell us how you’ve adjusted to last-minute changes in priorities or urgent requests?
  • If you noticed a way to streamline or digitize a current documentation process, how would you propose and implement that change?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

You should expect a salary of at least 7,000–10,000 AED per month for a Public Relations Officer (PRO) position with solid prior experience in the UAE, especially if you are comfortable with both Arabic and English and have a strong background in government liaising. Similar mid-level roles in reputable companies or fast-growing organizations often offer salaries within this range, with variations depending on your experience with Freezone entities and digital services. It's reasonable to negotiate towards the higher end if you can demonstrate expertise in managing end-to-end compliance and strong government relationships.
