About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Introduction

Have a knack for negotiation and a sixth sense for the best deals? As our next Procurement Officer, you’ll play a hands-on role in making sure our organization is stocked with the right materials — at the right price, and right on time. This isn’t just about cutting costs; it’s about building trusted supplier partnerships and ensuring our teams have what they need to deliver their best work. If you’re looking for a dynamic environment where your attention to detail and strategic mindset can truly make a difference, this just might be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

About the Company

We’re a growing mid-sized company, driven by a team that appreciates reliability, efficiency, and a healthy dash of camaraderie (yes, friendly banter over lunch is encouraged). Our culture? Think open-door policy meets “let’s get things done” spirit. Fridays sometimes mean a group coffee run, and our monthly team lunches have been known to spark some creative procurement ideas. Most importantly, we’re in a phase of scaling smart — so every process you improve or vendor you discover has a real, visible impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability
  • Draft, review, and negotiate supplier contracts and purchase agreements
  • Collaborate closely with department heads to anticipate and fulfill procurement needs
  • Monitor and track inventory levels, placing timely orders to prevent disruptions
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, from purchase orders to supplier evaluations
  • Resolve supplier performance issues in partnership with quality and operations teams
  • Stay updated on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and alternative products
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and any relevant regulatory guidelines

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Previous experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Talent for multi-tasking and shifting gears when urgent requests pop up
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Keen eye for detail (from contracts to invoices, nothing slips by you)
  • Working knowledge of procurement software or ERP systems
  • Clear, confident communication — written and verbal

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Relevant industry certifications (CIPS, CPM, etc.)
  • Familiarity with sustainable or ethical sourcing practices
  • Experience in a fast-growing or rapidly changing company

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary that matches your impact
  • Flexible work arrangement: hybrid remote/in-office options
  • Generous PTO, plus company-wide wellness days
  • Clear paths for growth (your ideas for process improvements won’t get lost here)
  • Supportive teammates who genuinely care about each other’s success
  • Regular team lunches, celebrations, and an end-of-year bonus (because hard work deserves recognition)

At the end of the day, you’ll join a team that knows how important procurement is — and actually appreciates the art and science behind getting the right things, at the right time. Join us, and help shape the way we build success from the inside out.
