About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever noticed how much a company’s success comes down to having exactly what it needs, right when it needs it—and at the right price? As a Purchase Executive, you won’t just be checking boxes on order forms; you’ll be the connector between our team and the vendors who power our business. If you appreciate the art of negotiation, have a knack for spotting value, and feel at home turning chaos into an organized supply chain, this opportunity just might suit you.
About the Company
We're a fast-moving team in the heart of the manufacturing sector, known as much for our spirited lunchroom debates as for our sleek, efficient operations. There’s a roll-up-your-sleeves, collaborative energy to how we get things done. Open communication, respect for ideas (no matter the job title), and a shared commitment to continuous improvement keep us growing year after year. Here, Purchase Executives work shoulder-to-shoulder with every department—so your decisions truly shape what we build.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Scouting for trustworthy vendors by reviewing products, reading the fine print, and following up on recommendations from your network.
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships—sometimes the best deals start with a quick phone call or occasional site visit.
- Comparing price lists, quality, and lead times (a bit like detective work) before negotiating the best possible terms.
- Drafting, finalizing, and sending purchase orders that are clear, comprehensive, and accurate—no surprises for anyone.
- Tracking orders and deliveries to ensure supplies arrive on schedule (and stepping in to solve problems if they don’t).
- Collaborating across teams—like production and finance—so that purchases truly match real needs and budget targets.
- Keeping tidy, search-friendly records of all purchases for smooth audits and even smoother reorders.
- Bringing back market insights and new vendor options for our quarterly cost-saving brainstorms.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves
- Experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in manufacturing, retail, or a related sector.
- Killer eye for detail—I’s dotted, T’s crossed, and contracts triple-checked.
- Confident negotiator, comfortable comparing quotes and sealing favorable deals.
- Familiarity with using purchase order systems, spreadsheets, or ERP software (ours won’t seem like a black box to you).
- Clear communicator who can work efficiently with everyone from warehouse to CFO.
Nice-to-Haves
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a similar field.
- A little creative flair for process improvement or cost-cutting ideas.
- Prior experience dealing with international suppliers or customs arrangements.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive pay structure, with performance-based recognition that truly rewards results.
- Support for professional development—think workshops, online courses, even certifications if you’re game.
- Vibrant culture (Friday learning sessions are not to be missed) and a team that actually roots for each other.
- Flexible hours and a hybrid work policy for qualified roles—you’re trusted to manage your own time.
- Social events, spot bonuses, and the kind of leadership that just says “thank you, great work.”
Here, you’ll shape more than our purchase orders. You’ll help us build a smarter, more connected business—one relationship (and one well-negotiated deal) at a time.
