About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Introduction
Ever wondered what it takes to keep a building maintenance company running like a well-oiled machine? It’s not just about the technicians with their toolbelts—it’s about the person behind the scenes making sure the right materials land at the right site, at the right time, without cutting corners on quality. If that sounds like a challenge you'd enjoy, this Procurement & Quality Control Administrator role in Baniyas, Abu Dhabi, might be your next great move. It’s a hands-on, multi-faceted position where no two days look exactly alike, and where your organizational skills will directly impact how smoothly everything operates.
About the Company
We’re a building maintenance company rooted in the heart of Baniyas, and we take pride in being the kind of team that clients rely on when things need to get done—properly. Over the years, we’ve grown a solid reputation for reliability, but we’ve kept that close-knit, family-like atmosphere where everyone knows your name. We’re not a faceless corporation; we’re a group of professionals who genuinely care about the quality of our work and the people who make it happen. You’ll be joining a team that values initiative, honesty, and a good sense of humor—because let’s face it, when you're juggling suppliers, job cards, and tight deadlines, a little laughter goes a long way.
What You’ll Be Doing
This role is the nerve center of our daily operations. You’ll be the one connecting the dots between what’s needed on site and what’s sitting in the store—or what needs to be sourced, fast. Here’s a closer look at your day-to-day:
- Procurement & Sourcing: You’ll handle purchasing for building materials and contracting supplies, comparing quotes, negotiating with suppliers, and making sure we’re getting fair prices without sacrificing quality.
- Inventory & Storekeeping: Keeping track of stock levels in our store is a big part of the gig. You’ll monitor what’s running low, what’s being used most, and what needs reordering—so the team never hits a roadblock mid-job.
- Timely Material Delivery: You’ll coordinate with suppliers and technicians to ensure materials arrive on-site exactly when they’re needed. It’s a bit like being a traffic controller for deliveries, and yes, it can get busy—but that’s part of the fun.
- Daily Job Card Management: Every job that goes out has a card, and you’ll be the one managing them—assigning, tracking, and closing them out as work gets completed. It’s your job to know what’s happening, what’s pending, and what’s overdue.
- Quality Control: Before materials go out or work is signed off, you’ll be the final checkpoint. Checking deliveries against specs, flagging any discrepancies, and ensuring that what we use meets the standards we promise our clients.
- Coordination & Communication: You’ll be the bridge between customers, technicians, and management. Whether it’s updating a client on progress, clarifying a technician’s material request, or flagging an issue to your manager, clear communication is your superpower.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who’s organized, proactive, and comfortable with a fast-paced environment. Here’s what we’d love to see:
Must-Haves:
- Proven experience in procurement, storekeeping, or quality control within the contracting or building maintenance sector.
- Solid knowledge of building materials—what they are, what they’re used for, and how to tell if you’re getting a good one.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball.
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a definite plus).
- Comfortable with basic computer work—spreadsheets, emails, and maybe a little inventory software.
- A valid UAE driving license is a bonus, as you may need to visit suppliers or sites from time to time.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience working with job card systems or maintenance management software.
- A knack for negotiation—getting the best deal without burning bridges.
- A keen eye for detail that catches discrepancies before they become problems.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you. If you’ve got the right attitude and a willingness to learn, we can work with that.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
Let’s be real—work takes up a big chunk of your life, so it should feel worthwhile. Here’s what we offer to make that happen:
- A Stable, Supportive Environment: We’re not a revolving door of staff. People tend to stay here because they feel valued and respected.
- Room to Grow: If you show initiative and do great work, we’ll notice. There’s space to take on more responsibility and develop your career.
- Hands-On Experience: You’ll get exposure to all sides of the business—procurement, operations, client relations, and quality management. It’s a fantastic way to broaden your skill set.
- A Team That Has Your Back: We work hard, but we also look out for each other. You won’t feel like just another number here.
- Competitive Salary & Benefits: We offer a fair package that reflects your experience and the value you bring.
At the end of the day, this is a role for someone who likes to stay busy, solve problems, and take pride in a job well done. If that sounds like you, we’d love to meet you and see how you could fit into our team here in Baniyas.
