About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered how your expertise in civil quality control can truly make a difference in some of the region’s largest energy projects? If you’re an experienced QC Civil Inspector looking for your next professional challenge, here’s a unique opportunity to join high-profile ADNOC projects in Habshan, Abu Dhabi—where your attention to detail and standards can directly impact the success of vital oil and gas infrastructure.

About the Company

This isn’t your run-of-the-mill contracting company. We’re a fast-moving, quality-driven team that’s made a name for ourselves on some of ADNOC’s most ambitious developments. Our work environment values transparency, teamwork, and a deep respect for technical skill—picture colleagues who know when to get their hands dirty and when to grab a quick chai together after a successful site handover. If you appreciate clear communication and learning from pros who’ve seen it all, you’ll fit right in with our diverse, close-knit site crew.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Conducting thorough inspections of ongoing civil works—think foundations, concrete pours, steel structure installations—to ensure compliance with project drawings and ADNOC’s stringent quality requirements
  • Collaborating closely with engineering and construction teams, offering expert input on best practices and corrective measures where needed
  • Reviewing and verifying material certifications, construction methods, and as-built documentation on a daily basis
  • Preparing detailed inspection reports and NCRs, following up on closure and corrective actions to keep the project moving smoothly
  • Participating in site walkdowns, tool-box talks, and internal audits—yes, you’ll be hands-on and boots-on-ground
  • Liaising confidently with ADNOC site representatives during joint inspections, ensuring project milestones are achieved without compromise

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Civil QA/QC—ideally with large-scale oil & gas or energy infrastructure projects
  • Solid, demonstrable experience on ADNOC projects, including direct interface with client/site reps
  • Previous ADNOC approval (active or easily transferable)—if you’ve got this, you know how invaluable it is
  • Strong working knowledge of international civil codes and ADNOC-specific standards
  • A sharp eye for detail, reliable reporting habits, and the ability to work well with a multicultural team

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Immediate availability or very short notice period
  • Additional safety trainings, such as HSE certifications relevant to oil & gas
  • Familiarity with digital QA/QC reporting tools or construction management software

Not sure you tick every single box? We’d still love to hear your story and see what you can bring to the team.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive compensation tailored to experience in the oil & gas sector
  • Site-based accommodation, transport, and meals so you can focus on the job—not logistics
  • Exposure to massive, high-profile projects where every day brings a new technical challenge
  • Supportive, experienced site supervisors who’ll help you settle in and grow quickly
  • Stable, long-term career prospects on ADNOC frameworks for high-performing team members

You’ll be stepping into a role that’s as critical as it is rewarding—working alongside talented professionals at the heart of the UAE’s energy future. And who knows, those after-work barbecues might just become your favorite part of the week!

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through your process for inspecting concrete works and identifying potential quality issues before they escalate onsite?
  • When reviewing material certifications and as-built documentation, what specific red flags do you watch out for, particularly on ADNOC projects?
  • Describe a situation where you had to issue a Non-Conformance Report (NCR). How did you follow up to ensure thorough closure and corrective action?
  • How do you ensure that civil works consistently meet ADNOC’s quality requirements and international civil codes, especially under tight deadlines?
  • Have you used digital QA/QC reporting tools or construction management software before? If so, which ones, and what impact did they have on your workflow?
  • How do you typically approach a site walkdown with ADNOC client representatives, and what strategies do you use to communicate technical findings clearly?
  • Tell us about a time when your attention to detail prevented a costly or dangerous site error. What steps did you take, and what was the outcome?
  • Describe how you collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, such as engineers and HSE personnel, to resolve quality issues or propose corrective measures.
  • How do you stay organized when juggling multiple inspections and reporting requirements throughout a busy project day?
  • Working with a multicultural team is central to our site environment. Share an experience where you navigated cultural differences to maintain team cohesion or resolve a conflict.
  • Our projects often require site-based living arrangements. How do you ensure you maintain a positive mindset and strong work-life balance in a camp setting?
  • How do you contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement—both in daily inspections and during tool-box talks?
  • What motivates you most in your work on large-scale energy infrastructure sites, and how do you keep that motivation strong during challenging phases?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

For a QC Civil Inspector working on ADNOC oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi, you should expect a monthly salary in the range of 8,000 to 12,000 AED, with well-qualified and ADNOC-approved inspectors sometimes commanding even higher offers, especially if immediate availability or extensive site experience is present. Similar roles often provide site accommodation, transport, and meals as part of the package, which can make the salary offered more competitive than roles without those benefits.
