About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Introduction
Are you the kind of person who brightens a room with a smile and thrives on creating positive first impressions? We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic Receptionist to join the front desk team at a well-known hotel on BurJuman Road in Dubai. This is your chance to play a key part in shaping every guest’s experience — and in hospitality, that’s no small thing. Whether you’re seasoned at welcoming travelers or ready to take your first step into Dubai’s dynamic hotel scene, this role offers stability, great perks, and the chance to become part of a vibrant community.
About the Company
Nestled just steps from BurJuman, our hotel is more than just a place to stay — it’s a hub for guests and staff alike. Picture a lobby that buzzes with stories from all over the world and a team that genuinely looks out for one another. Here, hospitality means more than service: it’s about heart, teamwork, and a bit of everyday magic. We celebrate birthdays over chai in the breakroom, and our managers love swapping stories about guest “wow” moments. With a reputation for attentive care, we’re proud to welcome new faces onto our close-knit staff.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Warmly greeting guests on arrival and making them feel instantly at ease (think of yourself as the hotel’s ambassador).
- Handling check-in and check-out processes smoothly, keeping everything efficient no matter how busy the lobby gets.
- Responding to guest queries, in-person and over the phone, with patience and a can-do attitude.
- Managing bookings, updating records, and working closely with housekeeping to ensure every room is just right.
- Coordinating with other departments to fulfil guest requests — from extra towels to dinner reservations.
- Assisting with basic admin tasks and helping keep the front desk area organized and welcoming.
- Being ready to help out wherever the day takes you — no two shifts are quite the same!
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Previous front desk, receptionist, or customer service experience (hotel background is a real plus).
- Strong communication skills in English; a friendly, approachable manner is a must.
- Presentable appearance and a professional attitude.
- Comfort with basic computer tasks and booking systems.
- Currently residing in the UAE and able to join quickly.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Fluency in additional languages (Arabic, Hindi, or other widely spoken languages).
- Experience with hotel management software (think Opera, Fidelio, or similar platforms).
- A knack for handling fast-paced situations while staying calm and collected.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary: AED 2500–3500, depending on your experience.
- Free accommodation — no need to hunt for housing in Dubai.
- Company-sponsored visa and smooth onboarding.
- Additional staff benefits (ask us about our in-house discounts and staff meals).
- Welcoming team environment where both newcomers and “old hands” share the same spirit of hospitality.
- Real opportunities to grow in your career, whether you’d like to move into guest relations or hotel operations.
We know hospitality can be hard work, but we believe in looking after each other — and nothing beats seeing a guest’s smile at the end of a long day. If you’re someone who finds joy in making people feel at home, you’ll fit right in.
