About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Introduction
Looking for a front-line role where your knack for organization and friendly presence can really shine? As the Receptionist at our well-established petroleum trading company in the heart of Dubai’s Deira district, you’ll be more than just a welcoming face — you’re the crucial first link in our client and partner experience. If you communicate as comfortably in Arabic as you do in English, thrive under a bit of pressure, and take pride in keeping things running smoothly, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
About the Company
Here’s a glimpse into life with us: our company has been powering trade in Dubai’s dynamic petroleum sector for years, building lasting partnerships and embracing progress with every deal. We’re a tight-knit team — quick to celebrate wins, eager to support each other, and always pushing for a better way of doing things. Our offices in Deira mix the buzz of international business with the warmth of a family operation. (And yes, that means plenty of shared lunches and the occasional spontaneous laugh over coffee.)
What You’ll Be Doing
- Greeting visitors, clients, and staff with genuine hospitality — ensuring every interaction starts on a positive note
- Answering, screening, and routing phone calls efficiently (and sometimes juggling several at once — no two days are exactly the same)
- Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, both digital and paper — keeping records tidy and information accessible
- Managing meeting room bookings, helping coordinate schedules, and assisting in small event setups as needed
- Supporting the team with document preparation, data entry, and maintaining electronic filing systems
- Making sure the front desk area is always presentable and welcoming (you’ll be our unofficial office ambassador)
- Liaising with suppliers and couriers for deliveries and office needs
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Comfortable reading, writing, and speaking both Arabic and English
- Previous experience in a receptionist or front desk role (ideally in a fast-paced environment)
- Strong computer skills — think MS Office, email platforms, and a natural knack for organizing information
- Polished, professional appearance with a friendly attitude
- High attention to detail, especially when handling correspondence or keeping records
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in a trading, logistics, or petroleum industry setting
- Knowledge of basic office equipment (printers, copy machines, etc.)
- Ability to adapt quickly and remain calm under pressure
Not sure you tick every single box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive, attractive salary package
- Company-provided accommodation right here in Dubai — no stressful house-hunting
- Supportive, inclusive team who genuinely care about each other’s success
- Opportunity to interact with a diverse range of people every day
- Prime office location in vibrant Deira, close to transport and city energy
- Career growth — we value developing talent from within
We think you’ll find there’s more to a front desk role here than just answering phones — it’s your chance to play a real part in our continued success, surrounded by people who notice and appreciate the little things you do.
