What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing daily safety operations on construction sites, ensuring every protocol is not just followed but understood by the team.
- Conducting regular risk assessments and safety audits, then translating the findings into practical, actionable solutions.
- Leading toolbox talks, safety briefings, and on-the-spot training — whether it’s a Monday morning or mid-project.
- Investigating incidents, documenting findings, and recommending improvements to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborating closely with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to keep safety standards front and center.
- Keeping up-to-date records and reports in line with local regulations and company policies.
- Staying ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes, sharing insights with the wider team.
- Championing a proactive safety culture where everyone feels empowered to speak up.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- At least 3 years’ hands-on experience as a Safety Engineer within the construction industry.
- NEBOSH certification and other relevant Health & Safety qualifications.
- Holder of a valid SARS card.
- Strong background in construction safety practices — you know what works, and what doesn’t, on a busy site.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience working on large-scale projects in the UAE.
- Familiarity with digital safety management systems.
- An eye for continuous improvement and a knack for motivating teams.
