About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what it’s like to keep some of the world’s most dynamic energy projects running smoothly—and, most importantly, safely? We’re on the lookout for a seasoned Safety Officer to join our team on oilfield construction and maintenance projects right here in the UAE. This is an opportunity to put your passion for proactive safety practices at the heart of major oil & gas operations, where your expertise matters every single day.

About the Company

We’re a team that takes pride in doing things the right way—there’s no cutting corners when it comes to safety and quality. As a trusted partner on some of the UAE’s flagship oilfield projects, we blend international standards with a strong sense of local teamwork. You’ll find Friday lunches are a chance for the crew to swap stories and brainstorm ideas, and our hands-on leadership genuinely values the voices and experiences of our safety professionals. We’re growing, and so is our commitment to ensuring every team member goes home safe, every time.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Conducting thorough site inspections across active oilfield projects to identify potential hazards before they become real issues.
  • Reviewing and updating safety protocols in line with both local and international standards—your attention to detail could spark our next big improvement.
  • Leading toolbox talks, safety briefings, and hands-on training sessions to ensure everyone knows the why behind the rules.
  • Investigating incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions, then working closely with operations to find practical, effective solutions.
  • Coordinating with supervisors and subcontractors to maintain a culture of accountability and safety ownership on every shift.
  • Maintaining meticulous records—from daily observations to weekly compliance reports—so nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Staying on top of new regulations and promoting a spirit of continuous safety learning throughout the team.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • At least 5 years of proven experience in oilfield or industrial safety roles (oil & gas project familiarity is a major plus).
  • Nebosh or IOSH certification—your safety toolkit is current and rock-solid.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with everyone from trainees to site managers.
  • Confident decision-making under pressure—in this field, cool heads save days.
  • A knack for detail, documenting issues, and following up until things get fixed.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Prior experience with UAE Health & Safety regulations or similar Middle Eastern standards.
  • Working knowledge of Arabic or other languages common to our teams.
  • Advanced safety certifications or specialization in high-risk environments.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary, regular performance reviews, and overtime pay for those on-site weekends.
  • Clear progression path: safety team leads, senior oversight roles—if you’ve got the drive, we’ll back you.
  • All the essential gear, with additional investment in your ongoing safety education.
  • Supportive leadership that actually listens—when you spot something, you won’t be ignored.
  • Diverse, tight-knit teams who look out for one another (and maybe challenge each other to the occasional lunchtime table tennis match).
  • Rotational options and fair time-off policies so you can recharge, even in a demanding industry.

If you’re ready to make a tangible difference each day—and be recognized for it—this could be the role where your next great chapter begins.
