About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever found yourself driven to create safer, smarter construction sites? As our new Safety Officer, you’ll be the heart of our HSE efforts across pivotal civil projects in Al Nakheel, Ras Al-Khaimah. With immediate onboarding, we’re counting on your UAE-based expertise—especially when it comes to scaffolding, civil works, and navigating real site challenges—to safeguard our teams and keep projects running smoothly. If you’re ready to take ownership in a role where your voice genuinely matters, you might be exactly who we’re looking for.
About the Company
We’re a team that believes building great things goes hand-in-hand with protecting the people behind them. Our projects shape Ras Al-Khaimah’s landscape and we take pride in a site culture where safety is everyone’s responsibility—not just a tick box. You’ll find that our supervisors are approachable, our engineers love a good safety suggestion, and yes, we actually mean it when we stop work for unsafe conditions. We move fast, trust each other to speak up, and have weekly team chats (often around strong coffee) to share learnings, however big or small.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing daily site safety for civil construction activities, with a sharp eye on scaffolding setups and dismantling
- Conducting toolbox talks that are more than just formalities—making them engaging and actionable
- Proactively identifying hazards and carrying out thorough, site-specific risk assessments
- Leading investigations into near-misses and incidents, with clear reporting and practical follow-ups
- Ensuring strict compliance with UAE HSE regulations and company policies
- Coaching site staff and subcontractors on best practices, not just rules
- Working closely with project management to plan safe work processes (and calling out potential issues before they happen)
- Keeping safety documentation up-to-date and audit-ready
- Acting immediately on unsafe conditions—sometimes that means making tough calls, always with team safety at heart
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- At least 5 years of UAE experience as a Safety Officer in civil construction (including scaffolding)
- Strong working knowledge of local HSE laws, codes, and real-life site scenarios
- Proven skills in risk assessment, incident investigation, and delivering toolbox talks
- Proactive mindset and approachable, clear communicator—across languages and roles
- Certification in occupational health and safety (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Fluency in additional languages common on UAE construction sites (Hindi, Urdu, Tagalog, etc.)
Not sure you meet every single qualification? We’d still love to hear your story.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary—paid on time, every month
- Supportive site teams and open-door management style
- Immediate start—your expertise matters now
- Real say in how we improve safety (beyond just paperwork)
- Ongoing training and upskilling opportunities
- Sustainable work practices—your ideas can help set new standards
- Genuine respect for work-life balance, even on urgent projects
- PPE and site facilities to keep you comfortable and focused
When you join us, you’re not just filling a vacancy—you’re helping to raise the bar for construction safety in the UAE. If you’re ready to take on this challenge and make a visible difference from day one, you’ll fit right in.
