About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Introduction
Ever walked into a room and noticed how the right signage, the perfect brochure, or a beautifully bound catalog can completely change how you perceive a brand? That’s the power of print, and it’s exactly what we help our clients harness every day. We’re looking for a Sales Executive & Digital Marketer who can bridge the gap between the tangible world of ink and paper and the fast-paced digital landscape where decisions are made. If you’re someone who enjoys building relationships but also has a knack for tweaking ad copy until it performs, this role at Al Warraq Printing Press LLC in Ajman might just be your perfect canvas.
This isn’t just a job about selling a service; it’s about helping businesses make a statement. You’ll be the person who takes a client’s vague idea and turns it into a concrete quote, while simultaneously ensuring our own brand is the one they see on their feed first. It’s a dual role that requires a rare hybrid of charisma and technical know-how, but honestly, that’s what makes it so rewarding.
About the Company
Al Warraq Printing Press LLC isn’t your average print shop. We’re a well-established player in the Ajman and broader UAE market, known for delivering quality that speaks for itself—quite literally, since our work is everywhere from corporate boardrooms to retail storefronts. While we take pride in our legacy and the trust we’ve built with long-standing clients, we’re not stuck in the past. Our team is a mix of seasoned print veterans and younger, digitally-savvy creatives who push us to experiment with new finishes, new materials, and new ways to reach customers.
Culture-wise, we’re hands-on. There’s no heavy corporate bureaucracy here; if you have an idea for a campaign or a way to streamline a workflow, you can voice it directly to the owner. We celebrate the wins—like landing a big corporate account—with team lunches, and we support each other during the busy seasons. It’s a fast-paced environment, but it’s also one where you’ll learn the ins and outs of the industry from people who’ve literally written the book on it (and then printed it, of course).
What You’ll Be Doing (Responsibilities)
This role is a true split—part relationship builder, part digital strategist. Here’s a closer look at what your day-to-day will involve:
- Hunt and close sales: You’ll be proactively reaching out to potential clients across Ajman, Sharjah, and Dubai, pitching everything from business cards and letterheads to large-format banners and custom packaging. You’ll also handle inbound inquiries, turning price checks into confirmed orders with your consultative approach.
- Own the paid media strategy: You’ll be the captain of our Meta and Google Ads accounts. This means setting up campaigns from scratch, monitoring budgets, A/B testing creatives, and constantly optimizing for leads. We don’t just want you to "run" the ads; we want you to analyze the data and tell us why a campaign worked—or didn’t—and what we should do next.
- Be the voice of our social channels: From Instagram to LinkedIn, you’ll manage our content calendar, craft engaging posts, and, most importantly, handle the direct messages and comments. In a world where a quick response often wins the deal, you’ll be the first point of contact for our digital audience. This includes spotting sales opportunities in comments and converting conversations into qualified leads for yourself.
- Collaborate on design briefs: While you won't be the designer, you’ll need to translate client requirements clearly to our production team. You’ll ensure that what we promise in the sales pitch is exactly what the client receives, maintaining our reputation for high-quality finishes.
- Track and report: Keep simple but effective records of your sales pipeline and ad spend performance. We’re not huge on complex CRM software, but we do value knowing our return on investment, so you’ll provide straightforward monthly summaries.
What You’ll Bring (Qualifications)
We’re looking for someone who’s as comfortable shaking hands as they are looking at a dashboard. Here’s what we need to see from you:
Must-Haves:
- Proven sales experience: You’ve got a track record of hitting targets, ideally in printing, packaging, or a related B2B service industry. You know how to handle objections and close a deal.
- Digital marketing chops: You have hands-on experience managing Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Ads campaigns. You understand pixels, conversion tracking, and why your cost-per-lead is what it is.
- Social media fluency: You’re not just a scroller; you understand how to use social platforms to build brand awareness and generate direct business. You can write a caption that engages and a call-to-action that converts.
- Excellent communication: You’re fluent in English (Arabic is a big plus, given our local market). You can explain technical print specifications to a layperson without confusing them.
- Self-starter mentality: You’re comfortable working independently in Ajman, managing your own schedule, and taking initiative without being micromanaged.
Nice-to-Haves:
- A basic understanding of design software (Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop) so you can make minor tweaks to ad creatives or client proofs.
- Experience with email marketing tools like Mailchimp.
- A valid UAE driving license, as client visits are part of the job.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you. If you have the hunger to learn and a strong foundation in sales, we can help you build the digital side of your skill set.
Why You’ll Love Working Here (Benefits & Perks)
- Competitive salary plus commission: We offer a solid base salary that respects your experience, but the real earning potential lies in our uncapped commission structure. The harder you work—and the smarter you advertise—the more you take home.
- A role with real ownership: You won’t just be a cog in the machine. You’ll have the autonomy to shape our marketing strategy and directly see how your sales efforts
Common Interview Questions and Tips
To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.
- Walk me through how you’d pitch our print services to a client who’s never considered custom packaging before—what’s your opening move and how do you steer the conversation toward a quote?
- Imagine you’re handed our Meta and Google Ads accounts tomorrow with a modest budget. What’s your first-week plan to assess performance, and how would you decide where to cut spend versus double down?
- Tell me about a time you turned a hesitant prospect into a signed deal. What was the sticking point, and what specific thing did you say or do to flip their hesitation?
- If a client asks for a deep navy blue on business cards but the production team warns it’ll look almost black on uncoated paper, how do you handle that conversation with both the client and the team to keep everyone happy?
- How do you approach A/B testing ad creatives when you’re juggling sales calls and client meetings? Walk me through a real example of a test you ran, what the data told you, and the change you made because of it.
- A potential client DMs our Instagram asking for a price on banners but doesn’t leave a phone number. What’s your response strategy to turn that into a qualified lead, and how quickly do you think you should reply?
- Describe a moment when a campaign you were running underperformed despite your best guesses. How did you diagnose the problem, and what did you learn about trusting data over intuition?
- Can you share an instance where you had to manage competing priorities—like a looming sales deadline and a critical ad optimization—and how did you keep both from slipping?
- What’s your process for staying on top of a sales pipeline without relying on heavy CRM software? How do you keep your follow-ups organized and make sure no warm lead goes cold?
- Tell me about a time you had to explain a technical concept—whether a print finish or a digital metric—to someone who wasn’
