About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wonder what it’s like to see a blank space transform into a stylish, functional environment—knowing you played a key role in every detail? As our next Site Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of this transformation. We’re seeking someone who thrives both on-site and off, with a knack for getting things done and an eye for quality. Especially if you’re energized by interior fit-out projects and enjoy the daily rhythm (and a few surprises) of active construction sites, this could be your next challenge.
About the Company
We’re a boutique interiors firm that believes great spaces change how people feel and work. Our team is small but mighty, made up of designers, project managers, and engineers who genuinely care about the craft—and each other. You’ll find us bouncing around ideas over coffee (sometimes a little too loud in the mornings), celebrating big wins, and occasionally debating, very passionately, about whether tiles or wall finishes should come first. We move fast, laugh often, and never lose sight of our commitment to quality. Growth here isn’t just about business—your skills and ambitions matter just as much.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Visiting project sites daily to supervise fit-out work—including joinery, finishes, MEP installations, and the odd troubleshooting session.
- Ensuring that all works are executed in line with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards (and yes, that sometimes means a gentle nudge to subcontractors).
- Proactively identifying and resolving site issues before they become blockers—think of yourself as part detective, part problem-solver.
- Coordinating with contractors, vendors, designers, and clients to keep everyone aligned and the project moving.
- Monitoring progress, taking site photos, and preparing regular updates and reports for the team and stakeholders—nobody likes surprises at handover.
- Ensuring strict adherence to site safety regulations and company policies (we like to keep everyone safe and happy).
- Lending a hand with measurement checks, materials inspections, and last-minute decision-making (because those happen).
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Prior experience with interior fit-out works (if you can talk about your favorite flooring install, we’re all ears)
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, practices, and site supervision
- Confident communication skills—whether you’re talking to contractors or clients
- Organized, reliable, and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
- Ability to juggle site visits, reports, and on-the-fly coordination without losing your sense of humor
Nice-to-Haves:
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Familiarity with fit-out project management software/tools
- Experience in commercial or high-end residential interiors
Not sure you tick every single box? We’d still love to hear from you and see what you bring to the table.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses
- Supportive team that actually collaborates—and cares
- Real ownership over projects and room to grow your role as we expand
- Flexible start times (because life happens outside the site too)
- All the coffee you can drink in our design-filled office
- Occasional team lunches, birthday surprises, and a culture that values your input
We know there are lots of options out there, but if you want to help shape remarkable spaces—and have your voice heard in a growing company—this is a great place to build your future.
