About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever thought about what keeps a bustling construction site moving seamlessly, day after day? It’s often someone just like this: an experienced Storekeeper who has a knack for organization, knows their way around inventory levels, and isn’t afraid to get their hands a bit dusty. We’re looking for a dependable, detail-minded Storekeeper to join our crew—urgently. If you thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment (and like seeing the tangible results of your work), this might be right up your alley.
About the Company
We’re a thriving, close-knit construction firm that believes the backbone of every project lies in teamwork, trust, and a solid supply chain. Around here, we value clear communication even more than perfectly stacked shelves—though those give us a certain kind of joy, too. Our team is growing quickly, but somehow still feels like a family. You’ll probably spot project managers grabbing coffee with laborers, or someone showing off new inventory software during lunch. It’s a place where every role is valued, and every day brings something a little different.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee the day-to-day receipt, storage, and timely issuance of construction materials, tools, and equipment
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all stock levels—digitally and physically
- Work closely with site managers and foremen to anticipate supply needs and avoid last-minute shortages
- Use Microsoft Excel and inventory management software to track deliveries, usage, and reorder points
- Conduct regular stock checks and audits to minimize loss, damage, or discrepancies
- Organize and label materials for easy access—a system that’s clear to you and everyone else
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for smooth, on-time deliveries
- Keep the store area tidy, safe, and compliant with all site regulations
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Prior experience as a Storekeeper, ideally in the construction sector
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and modern inventory/documentation tools
- Strong record-keeping skills—you thrive on accuracy and attention to detail
- Solid organizational abilities, especially under pressure or deadlines
- Clear communicator, able to collaborate with different site teams
- Willingness to work on-site in a dynamic, sometimes physically demanding setting
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with inventory management software (if you have a favorite, let us know)
- Knowledge of materials and tools commonly used in civil or structural works
- Problem-solving mindset—you spot issues before they become headaches
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary with immediate start—because we really mean “urgent”
- Supportive team that appreciates your expertise and input
- Ongoing opportunities to grow within a rapidly expanding company
- Work environment that balances professionalism with a genuine sense of camaraderie
- On-site perks: refreshments, lunchtime company (often with good stories), and the occasional after-work gathering
- A real chance to take ownership of systems and processes—your ideas are welcome
We know Storekeepers are the secret ingredient in successful projects—as vital as any blueprint or beam. If you’re ready to make your mark and keep things running smoothly, you’ll fit right in.
