About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Introduction Paragraph
Ever looked at a beautifully finished building facade and wondered who made those clean lines and perfect joints happen? That’s the kind of work we’re hiring for. NETAQ AL BUNYAN CONTRACTING is looking for experienced Tile and Marble Fixers who specialize in exterior wall and facade installations — the kind of finishers who take pride in work that has to hold up against sun, wind, and time. If you’ve spent years getting exterior cladding right and want steady work with a team that values precision, this could be your next move.
About the Company
NETAQ AL BUNYAN CONTRACTING is a contracting firm built on the belief that good construction starts with good hands. We take on projects where the finishing matters as much as the structure — and our crews know it. The site culture here is straightforward: show up, do the work properly, and you’ll be respected for it. We’re not the biggest name in Abu Dhabi, but we’re the kind of outfit where the site engineer knows your name and the quality of your work gets noticed.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Install tiles and marble on exterior walls and facades, from layout and setting out to final grouting and finishing.
- Read and work from drawings and specifications to make sure every panel, joint, and edge lines up as designed.
- Prepare surfaces and substrates properly — because a facade is only as good as what’s behind it.
- Mix and apply adhesives, mortars, and sealants to the standards exterior work demands.
- Check your own work as you go, catching level, alignment, and finish issues before they become someone else’s problem.
- Coordinate with other trades on site so installations don’t clash and timelines stay on track.
- Keep your work area safe and tidy — scaffolding, heights, and outdoor conditions all need respect.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- At least 5 years of experience in the UAE — you know the climate, the materials, and the standards here.
- Proven, hands-on experience fixing tiles and marble on exterior walls and facades.
- A track record of high-quality workmanship and accurate, precise installation.
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of your section of the job.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with large-format panels or stone cladding systems.
- Familiarity with different adhesive and anchoring methods for exterior applications.
- A valid UAE driving licence (helpful, not essential).
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you — if your exterior finishing work speaks for itself, that matters most.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Steady project pipeline — we’re active on multiple sites, so there’s consistent work for the right people.
- Fair pay for skilled hands — compensation reflects your experience and the quality you bring.
- A team that respects the trade — no micromanaging; good work is trusted and recognized.
- On-site support — engineers and supervisors who actually listen when something needs sorting.
- Room to grow — prove yourself on the facade work and there’s more responsibility (and better pay) down the line.
We know exterior finishing isn’t easy work — it’s hot, it’s detailed, and it has to be right. That’s exactly why we value the people who do it well. If that sounds like you, we’d be glad to talk.
Common Interview Questions and Tips
To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.
- Walk me through your process for setting out and installing large-format marble panels on an exterior facade, from reading the drawing to the final grout line.
- Exterior work in Abu Dhabi means intense heat and occasional sandstorms. How do you adjust your adhesive mixing, working time, and curing practices to cope with those conditions?
- Tell me about a facade installation you completed where the substrate wasn't what the drawings promised. What did you find, and how did you handle it?
- How do you decide between a cement-based adhesive and a ready-mixed or epoxy system when you're fixing stone cladding outside?
- Describe a time you caught a level or alignment problem in your own work before an inspector did. What did you do about it?
- What's your approach when a panel or tile won't sit flush no matter what you try — how far do you go before you flag it to the site engineer?
- Facade work often means scaffolding and heights. Talk me through how you keep yourself and the people around you safe on a typical day.
- Tell me about a moment when another trade's work clashed with your installation. How did you sort it out without losing time?
- We're a smaller outfit, so nobody will be standing over you. How do you structure your own day to stay on schedule and keep quality consistent?
- What draws you to exterior and facade finishing specifically, rather than interior tiling work?
- Describe a job you're genuinely proud of. What made the finish stand out, and what did it take to get it there?
- How do you react when a supervisor asks you to redo a section you believe is already up to standard?
- What do you expect from a site engineer or supervisor when you raise a problem — and what do you think they should expect from you?
