About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what it takes to keep a critical supply chain running smoothly in the fast-paced chemical industry? As our Warehouse Manager, you’ll be at the heart of it all—where precision, safety, and leadership truly matter. This isn’t a role for the faint-hearted; we’re looking for someone who thrives on the details, relishes a good challenge, and has the gravitas to steer our warehouse team through the complexities unique to chemical logistics.
About the Company
We’re not your typical industrial operation—think hands-on, collaborative, and just a little quirky (there’s fierce competition for our annual bowling night, and yes, we take cake days seriously). As a key supplier in the chemical manufacturing sector, we power essential industries across the region. Growth here is real—we’re scaling our team to meet new demands, but staying true to our close-knit culture where safety, innovation, and mutual respect shape every decision. You’ll find open doors, genuine mentoring, and a strong focus on making sure everyone goes home safe, every day.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and—above all—compliance with safety regulations specific to chemical handling.
- Mentoring and coaching your team, setting work schedules, and fostering a positive safety-first culture.
- Overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished products—precision matters when you’re dealing with chemicals.
- Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating regular audits to minimize discrepancies and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Developing and refining operational procedures—if something can be done smarter or safer, you’ll champion it.
- Collaborating with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure seamless supply chain flow.
- Responding to issues decisively, whether it’s a shipment hiccup or a new safety protocol rollout.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Proven experience in warehouse management, ideally within chemical manufacturing or a related industrial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of inventory control, warehouse workflows, and chemical safety standards.
- Strong leadership skills—someone who inspires their team and doesn’t shy away from tough calls.
- Excellent organizational abilities and a knack for troubleshooting operational challenges.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Certification or training in hazardous materials management (HazMat).
- Experience working with ERP inventory systems.
- A creative problem-solving mindset—you never settle for “because it’s always been done that way.”
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses—hard work doesn’t go unnoticed.
- Robust health and wellness benefits, because your wellbeing is non-negotiable.
- Support for ongoing training and certifications relevant to warehouse and chemical safety.
- A company culture that actually cares—we celebrate milestones, welcome new ideas, and support each other through busy seasons.
