What You’ll Be Doing
- Translating design concepts into detailed architectural drawings — both in 3D and traditional 2D.
- Modeling interior spaces using 3ds Max, applying textures and lighting in V-Ray for realistic visualizations.
- Drafting accurate construction documents using AutoCAD for use by project engineers and decoration teams.
- Revising drawings based on feedback from architects, clients, and decorators.
- Collaborating with designers and project managers to ensure designs are both beautiful and buildable.
- Keeping design files organized, named, and version-controlled (future you will thank present you).
- Occasionally stepping in during site visits to ensure project fidelity to your creative vision.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with architectural drawing, specifically in decoration or interior architecture.
- Fluent use of 3ds Max, V-Ray, and AutoCAD (your portfolio should show it!).
- A solid understanding of architectural and engineering principles — you know why things go where they go.
- Strong eye for detail, balanced with the ability to work efficiently on tight project deadlines.
- Clear communication skills and a willingness to give and get feedback.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Some knowledge of Al Ain building codes or previous experience working on projects in the UAE.
- Familiarity with other design or rendering tools (SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop — you tell us).
- An interest in current trends in architectural decoration.
